I was looking at some videos of new w213 e63 using race start. Looks like its pulling harder than current e63 and it squats like the rs7 when launching. Doesnt seem like it has the same take off "lag" that the w212 4matic is cursed with. Ofcourse its hard to judge from video.
Agree. Lets admit it. This gen e63 4matic was put together, not engineered. The next gen e63 4matic is actually engineered. The battle between the new m5 and e63 is going to be closer then ever! Atleast in stock form that is. When it comes to tuning, the m5 will probably be ahead again.
lol, When the TT63 and M5TT came out it was a no contest. The AMG TT was wiping the floor on all fronts, dynos, 1/4 track times, race events and so forth oh and lets not forget SOUND.
It is only as of late with the unlocked, albeit to a point low safety tuning have they started to catch the lime light.
I feel we have yet to see how they take to tuning on the long run, given the V10 history of reliability, I would not be so fast to jump on the bandwagon. Also does not take long to find threads of all the stuff that is breaking, limp mods, but that is the nature when you push the limits on any platform really.
Also picking the cream of the cream results of any platform is not always best way to get a realistic view on things. Namely allmotor has had his fair share of things going south. If you are to pick the best M5 then pick the Best E63 and if we are to talk from a perspective of time line The GAD car was fast as hell earlier in its life cycle and still is if I am not mistaken. I am also positive both these owners have spent quite a bit more then they would care to admit.
Please do not paint it as a full proof no issues platform

Fact is they are able to push their platform to the limits and we are not. I dont even want to discuss any tuner thats outside the US. Speaking of performance, awd is where e63 superior to m5 but we are limited by tcu. How sad is that? We cant take advantage of the only Ace we have up our sleeves.

You say we but do you own an E class or even any MB?
Idk.. Over at the m5 forum few guys are trapping 121+ on their stock base m5s. I dont see a 1/4mile thread on this forum so I haven't seen any members showing their time slips.
theres no thread on it but plenty of time slips posted over different threads.
Just recently geno51 trapped 123mph on his bone stock 4matic e63s, so again m5 not always faster as you keep saying including the CP.
kit has been out for a while and W4 car down here was supposed to put up dyno 3 weeks ago and still nothing.... weistec had their W4 car at shiftsector a while ago (after it posted its first 830whp vid ) and ran 165mph, so definitely not a 9 sec car
almost a year since their 830whp vid and no dyno's from weistec and no official times, plus customer car down here that was all over instagram with his w4 build and then once it was finished, nothing... no dyno (even though they were "coming soon" 3 weeks ago), no timeslips ..... if the results were impressive i am sure we would of heard of them by now
They claimed 175 mph with w3. That is 10mph faster than w4?!! I trusted them that's why I wasted $20,000 on W3. Look at how they try to defend the Integrity of that BS time slip on this thread.
They did not give me my money back when they're exhaust did not fit in my car so I wouldn't even bother. I would ask to exchange these w3 for w4 turbos, and to pay the difference in cost. that's the best I can advise for you because you will never get your money back your time back and the labor cost back.
But you know your trap speed is higher than what the stock turbo will get even with tuning exhaust Etc. So those w3s must have added some power.
but they will never ever get you 174 + miles per hour in a half mile as advertised.

That 174+ mph run was most likely fluke and just a one-off car that had a special tune (and mods) done to it for the sake of marketing. Based on the data I've seen, mid 170s in the 1/2 mile is around low 140s in the 1/4 mile, and there is probably only one or two E63s in the world doing that.

that W3 174+ result was at shiftsector and was a roll event, not a standing 1/2 mile.. the car was already in 3rd gear at the roll start cones lol so definitely false advertising of 174mph 1/2 mile car.... whats next, they gonna say they trap 145 in the 1/4 without telling its a rolling start 1/4 lol?... in a true standing 1/2 it would of been much less than 174 (more like mid 150s)...... it also got beat by renntech tuned only car
check out how fast it is already going when it hits the starting flag at 46 seconds, so not a real standing 1/2 mile result
