New Stage 2 M157 Turbo upgrade by VTT
Hey Guys,
I'm very pleased to introduce you to the first set of Vargas Turbo Tech Stage 2 turbos for the M157 platform. I reached out to Tony from Vargas about a year to see if there would be interest in coming out with a high quality Turbo upgrade for our cars, that didn't have the outrageous MB tax charged by other vendors. I talked to him an bit about my desire to have a stage 2 offering, that wouldn't break the bank and would be desirable for the M157 community. He happily took on the challenge! I sent the turbos over to him and he got to work right away.
First I just want to say that Tony was amazing to work with. He was very informative and in constant communication throughout the process. From his research into wheels and parts, to the machining process a final assembly, he was transparent and helpful throughout. Amazing customer service!
On to the goods. The are stock modified housings, which were CAD/CNC machined on both compressor and turbine housings. Wheels were custom selected for this application, with the biggest exhaust wheel we could fit in there. They use all new bearings and seal, stronger shaft and is all high speed balanced. The wheel specs are secret for now, but these turbos will flow 55 lb/min a side for 110lb/min total capacity. That is enough for up to 1000whp in an maxed out configuration. I will probably try and run them around 800ish until I build a Short block.
I am waiting on a few other parts, but install should happen in the next 3 weeks and I'll be able to report back on results. I will be building the transmission while motor is out, so should be able to make some good power, then maybe add meth and turn it up a bit. Pricing isn't finalized yet, but I'm sure you can contact Tony @ VTT to get a ball park. I am stoked to get these on as soon as I can!

No, these are completely new, much larger wheels in custom machined exhaust housing. By not being clipped, you get more of the turbine profile in the exhaust stream with better transient response, but the bigger wheel and housing allow for more top end flow

I'm excited to see what Tony can do for this platform.
For those that don't know VTT, they have some of the fastest 335 (N54) in the game. They have some of those motors making 800rwhp.
