2011 AMG E63 won't start
Hello,
I don't drive the E63 very often anymore, usually just on the weekends since I'm commuting to Miami and its ridiculously cheaper to drive a hybrid that is free on the express lanes.
Anyway, yesterday I went to start it after 2 weeks and it cranked and idled for about a second and died. I tried again and it idled for a second and died. Now it just cranks and cranks and will not fire. I have an aftermarket extended warranty with 100 dollar deductible that ideally should cover it, but of course they aren't open on the weekends. Not sure how that works when you are supposed to have free emergency roadside assistance.
So does anyone have any ideas before I get it towed to the dealer?

My guess would be the Crankshaft position sensor. Easy fix. Get a code reader and read trouble codes.

had it towed to the dealer last night. Might as well make sure of the extended warranty. I'm thinking fuel pump related as the first two times it idled slightly so I'm thinking that was the last of the fuel.

Maybe bad gas?

I had bad gas before a little while after getting the car and it made it idle real badly and run very poorly, but it definitely started. Dealer wanted 175 dollars for diagnostic. If I didn't have an extended warranty I would never go to one of those places.

I believe it likely is the fuel pump. I figured it was that as well given the car started and idled for a second a couple of times so it appeared the last of the fuel was burning off. They have to get approval from the extended warranty company so it will probably be a week or so before I get the car back. Not a huge deal as its a weekend car now, but I would like to drive it this weekend. Plus I'm a little annoyed they didn't confirm everything with the extended warranty company before tearing into the car.

I"m a little annoyed at this point. I only get to drive the car on the weekends and I'd like it back. Now they are up to fuel pump, fuel pump sensor, fuel pump module and crank shaft sensor. I'm all for getting full value out of the warranty, but now the warranty company wants to inspect the car so god knows when I'll get it back.
