Ok, I'll be the d*ck and say that I'm still disappointed by our car's lack of response to mods. I'd expect a turbo upgrade plus mods to do better against a minimally modded ZR-1.

If i mod the car now its 15000 of modification for a better turbo upgrade (vtt)and my other mods... same price than zr1 mod ... but i paid 10000 cad for one side turbo upgrade and another 10000 to rebuilt the two turbo after the turbo upgrade and 3 time the job to drop the engine and change the turbo ... And still not sure he dont gonna broke again but since i rebuilt the 2 turbos after the turbo upgrade i dont have any problem and make many pull ...but i never mod another benz the company charge big price and not very competent ... and its never be the fault of the company always mine ...sad but true

once apr and iroz get to the RS3 it will be even faster especially on iroz bigger IMS850/1000 turbo kits (the 9.5 run was on their smaller IMS780 kit)

im pretty much sold on the new audi RS3 after seeing the latest gen apr golf and iroz motorsports golf battling back and forth the past couple weekends, ultimatley pushing it to 9.5 @146 with full interior

I have seen stock ZR1s trap 130+mph at MIR in cool air. And I have seen pulley, tune, exhaust modded ZR1s trap 140+mph in good air. In fact I was at MIR the day this one ran at a track rental:

yeah the progress the vw MK7r and audi 07K have been making in the tuning market in the past few years is crazy! mid 9's /146 traps and 188 in 1/2 mile for full interior daily drivers is just insane and even more insane is how much cheaper their tuning market is

the zr1 in the vid cs e63 is just upper pulley/headers /intake and cooling,, that level mods are running 10.5/134-138 ... the 9.81 sec link you posted was the WR (for a while) lingenfelter ZR1 test car with upper+lower pulley, ported S/C+ larger S/c inlet, larger TB and 2.66 Z06 1st gear swap and was at 740 whp, so not really fair comparison to what the car in the vid was

Would love an audi RS3, but much smaller size car than an E/CLS, cant fit people in the back.
Does audi not have a bigger size car capable of similar performance?

but if RS3 is too small for you then the new S4 is a little bigger, and the new porsche 2.9T motor its getting should be a lot more tunable than the previous 3.0 s/c motor
you can see at around the 10 min mark of this vid the reviewer sitting in the back seat... looks like a normal size guy and seems to have decent space for such a smaller/lighter car

Food for Thought
A tuner I have used in the past, he does magazine project cars, not an everyday Caddy....damn good tuner.
