anyone with non-MB aftermarket warranty recommendations?
purchased 2013 e63 with 39700 miles on it. According to VMI, it went through the entire CPO prep service (inspections, replaced rotors, pads, fluids, windscreen, etc etc).
For whatever reason it went to auction 1 month later instead (perhaps because resonators were removed and once they found that, they punted on it).
Anyhow, I know full well the possible repair costs that may/probably will come up, so I am wondering if anyone has recommendations.
I am biased as I feel like most/all of these warranty companies are sh*tty to deal with, but hoping someone proves me wrong.
Thanks!

after researching threads like this one, is it possible to get an MB warranty at a dealer for a car bought privately? Sorry, coming over from Audi and also from cars with 100k+ miles, so this wasn't an option.
If that is possible sounds like the best path forward.
Is that possible?

I've tried to get quotes from all kinds of companies and no one would touch the car with a 10 foot pole despite only 30k miles on it and still being under factory warranty.
If you find one let us know the cost and who was crazy enough to sell it to you

I was able to purchase a MB warranty for my 2010 e63 that I bought at a non MB dealership. Had less than 50k miles on it on it but was still covered by the original MB warranty at the time of purchase. The cost on mine wasn't to bad but I hear they are pricey. My MB dealership offered me a 3rd party warranty when my extended warranty ran out. It offered the same coverage as the MB warranty. The price was $8k for 4 years so I decided to roll the dice.
I'll report back with what I find out.

It might be because my car came from Canada or something, so I'm curious how it works for you all.
To the guy who said he was quoted 8k...lol. Yeah, I'll self insure for that thanks.

I just purchased a Delta Auto Protect warranty for a 2012 E63 with 41k miles on the odometer. It was $3,900 for 3 years/60k miles. Full bumper to bumper policy.

Not super clear what happened. Is the car under 4 years old? It may or may not qualify for an MB extended warranty. If you're asking multiple dealers, my guess is that it doesn't. I think if a car was CPO and then sold by an MB dealer at auction, it no longer qualifies for an extended warranty and you can't buy the CPO warranty on it either. You can check with some of the vendors mentioned in the extended warranty sub-forum. The 3rd party warranties seem to be a lot more than the MB warranty, probably because most of them have fat profit margins for the dealers so if you find any dealer willing to sell you one, be sure you can negotiate it. Fidelity is one name the comes up a lot as being decent, there's a few others too, but don't be surprised to find them in the 8k range, even the MB ones aren't that cheap, primarily because it's an E63. USAA also gets mentioned, but only if you qualify. Sometimes credit unions also offer decent car warranties.

i purchased an additional 4 years or 60K miles from USAA for $2400 (i think) = can be taken to dealer or any certified shop - covered bumper to bumper. I purchased it with 28K on my car - my car is our 3rd car so it doesn't get commute time driving driving into the office -
if you are a USAA member give them a call.
