Buying a 2012 E63, performance pack or not?
is the performance pack worth it?
i can get a killer deal on regular E63 that I may pull the trigger on.
other then the boost increase is there any difference in internally?
Thanks for advice
P.S. I'll be trading in my beloved 2004 E55 with 273,000km for this. I'll definitely have to get some performance goodies quickly to be at par with the 55.
What would you recommend first?

Pretty sure the PP also had LSD and possibly some differences in cooling over the 518hp version (edit: maybe that was the 2013 vs 2012 version). Top speed upped from 250kph to 300kph.

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ecu tune; edok tcu tune; BB intakes; dyno tuned
Cooling differences I think happened in 2013+ Whether pp or not
definitely LSD worth it on a rwd car and comes with pp ; no engine internal differences; a tune will net same end hp/tq regardless of pp or not

I have a 2012 P30 car. You get the upped power, a different steering wheel and red calipers. I really like the steering wheel but once you tune the car, you can get everything separate later. My build list shows the LSD as an option. I don't think they came 100% with it but most who ordered more power probably ordered LSD

The LSD was not part of Performance package, you will have to check your vin number and look for code 471 to see if you have LSD. On 2012-13 performance package will give you much stiffer suspension, red brake calipers, top speed increased to 186, alcantara steering wheel, more aggressive tune and a carbon fiber engine cover. No engine differences. If you can get a good deal on a non pp car then I would go for it.

I have the P30. If you get a good enough deal, get the regular. The wavetrac lsd is far superior to the amg one, spend the money there if you decide you want it at a later date.
You will probably get a tune which will negate the HP bump.
Steering wheel I don't remember them being different except for the Alcantara sides. I'm not all that impressed with that anyway, always cleaning it to keep it from looking matted down.

Thanks guys, I just sold my E55, and it looks like ill be buying the E63 tomorrow!
The dealership is asking $39,999 CDN for a 2012 with warranty until June 2019 or 160,000kms.
I think it well worth it.
As for the LSD i never had one on and i still managed to run a 12.05 at 119mph with all season tires so I don't think ill need it. I don't plan on taking it to the road track anyways.
