Watermeth location that works for the m157

I have a question here, is it safe to inject 100% meth or 25/75% water/meth directly at the turbos?
also i see that one nozzle at the intercooler inlet from up is not sufficient cause the inlet pipe has a large diameter so maybe 2 nozzles one on the left and one on right will be more efficient.
thank you guys for all that effort.

@Robert AMG
Hi Robert - the reservoir is the washer fluid bottle. The pump indeed works, and holds its prime. I have used this type of location on several of my cars with no issue.
Thank you!

These are the updated locations and cc amount that should be followed if you are trying to see the best results from pre turbo.
nozzle placement should be either right before the rubber coupler or right after in the grey aluminum inlet pipe . Nozzle size should be start at 500cc per turbo and moved up depending on your needs. . These installs gained 40-50 hp with no revisions at all. Dropping 60-130 from 8.83 to 7.81. Increased trap speed by 1.5 mph sometimes 2mph. Also note where these tunes were dropping in power over the power band after 5k rpm, are now continuing to pull harder due to the compressor being cooled along with intake temps. Quality of your materials and pump are imperative for an efficient set up. Every nozzle should have a check valve as well . @a2d_performance ig name is the only place currently selling direct methanol injection kits for the m157 utilizing a trunk mount system with everything you need for the best install. Not universal. These installs are A2d kits that are made for m157. Using high end materials that they have pre sized .

@Cifdig thank you so much for all the great info.
What should the meth nozzle size be for the single injection point I have in the intake manifold?

complete kit are available for anyone who does not want to go through the hassle. Make sure check valves are used or the turbos are going to siphon the meth right through the nozzle even when it's off

Thanks! How can we go about getting one of these kits? Actually, I’m only needing from the trunk mount tank forward. So basically just lines, check valves and nozzles.

Big THANK YOU to Cifdig!
Hey,
Wanted to thank Cifdig- I relocated the nozzles as suggested, removed the post IC nozzle for now, and now have 750mL/min per turbo of 90/10 meth/water.
WOW!
My 91 AKI tune with that felt almost as good as my E40 time without WMI!!!
Can’t wait to try it out on the E40 tune and E60 tunes I also have from AMR.
Thanks to Cifdig again for your wisdom!!

great to hear. As you upgrade the system the more you will get from it as well. There's many more things in a methanol kit that plays a big roll in how the methanol is delivered, how consistent the spray from the pump can deliver your meth, does it have any pulsating pressure drops from line kinks , line collapse and or poor pump . Also keep in mind Are your nozzles good enough to atomize the methanol correctly etc . Anyone trying to install methanol on an m157 has to understand that our engines get very hot, engine radiant heat is insane. So it's imperative that you purchase a quality setup, and if your using nylon lines to figure out how you want your systems setup to deliver your methanol that's fine, just convert to braided lines after your happy with your system and if you are unsure of your systems quality then purchase a good one. I've seen many people drive around with setups that don't even deliver any gains at all, either from poor location, not enough cc's to feed a huge v8 engine, using to much water and not enough methanol etc. if your going to go through all the trouble of this install you might as well get something out of it and safely.

Aem methanol kit
Evening everyone. The information for the methanol kit has been extremely helpful and I’ve fitted a AEM methanol kit with the 5 gallon tank and the v3 injectors.
I’ve used the nylon feed pipe and protect it the best as possible. Using a fuel hose around the nylon to stop it rubbing the car as I’ve run the line under the car in the spare slots with brake line from front to rear of car.
system works well and seems to be good. One issue I have is that I can’t find a stainless braided line I can use which would connect to the aem v3 injectors
you would of thought that a company that makes the kit would have thought about a upgrading kit for them to have braided line options. If anyone has found a braided line and fittings that work with the AEM kits

Late to the party!
Hey guys... I'm a little late here but looking for some info!
So I'm running a 13 GL550 with M157 turbos, VRP BOV, 1 stage cooler plugs, filters with spacers, custom intake tubes, full 63 AMG exhaust, Weistec trans pan, Weistec trans tune, custom Weistec ECU tune, snow performance WMI with dual nozzle dash adjusted controller.
So now that's out of the way... I have my WMI installed in the pre-tapped location on the tubes by the BOV just before intercooler... Car runs quicker without WMI on as I feel like it's puddling in the intake and the car is snorting a bit from time to time. Don't get me wrong the girl is quick running low 12's without too much torment I'm Florida 100deg heat but I know thos WMI has more to offer. So if I'm reading right I'm moving my nozzles pre turbo and switching to number 8 nozzles (500ml or cc)... I think I understand the locations, but tapping will be a pain. 🤦 I'm running boost juice right now but should I be spraying 80/20 meth/water or 100 meth? Also any ideas on the on settings or ramp amounts I should be looking at? I'm seeing in close to 30psi right now and the engine is happy by the logs... Just like the extra cooling and added nudge in hp of water meth (I run it on my dodge diesel right now too)... Just want to get it right!
Appreciate your knowledge!

I finally got all of my hoses, tank, switches and fittings ordered from Prometh and pretty much installed other than the nozzles themselves. I have a question, Prometh says the actual nozzles are back ordered six weeks, which is the same thing they told me a month ago. Do any other brands of nozzles work with the Prometh holders (I’m guessing probably so if they are the same size threads but I’m not positive) and if so what would be your recommendations for 700 ml nozzles other than Prometh brand?

Too many to list
Been thinking about purchasing a WMI kit from Snow Performance. One question that I haven't seen anyone addressed, or maybe I just missed it, is where do you tap to get the boost pressure on these M157 engine, especially one from a '15 ML63?

you got the universal kit? And you have to cut down to size? . You can use other nozzles. Did they have any nozzle for you to use?

2 issues. The location. Switch to pre turbo. Second is boost juice . It's garbage. And you will get way better response from 100% methanol . That said use 700cc . If you have the cheap nylon hoses . Don't use 100% meth until you swap for braided lines . Can you run it with nylon. Absolutely . But safety comes first.

No, not a universal kit. I measured and ordered the stainless hoses built to size with only the holders included. Nozzles are not available at all right now through them.
