Down pipe exhaust

Looking into down pipes and i see that alpha and weistec show 2 different down pipe setup can anyone tell me the difference between two. Weistec looks like theirs comes off the turbo flandge and alpha Looks like theirs comes after the front pipes.
if this is the case wouldnt the weistec be a better choice. And if so where could i get the turbo flanges.

Heres the deal my best friend ownes a fab shop he builds race cars. I am going to mock up a set for me and i want the best available option for power. After we make a set for my car we can make more at a fraction of the price and would be glad to help out fellow board members. I can setup a group buy if anyone is interested. I want to get this started in next couple weeks and can post pic

The reason you see two different types is because one set truly goes to the turbos, however, the motor has to come out to install. Hence, the other set, which stop short of the turbos but the motor doesn't have to come out to install making them far cheaper to get in. Minimal to no differences in power gains between the two.

Is there any power numbers between the 2 turbo back and front pipes back?

There are a few threads posted by customers.
We don't make any dyno numbers claims since results will vary from dyno to dyno.

The weistec knock offs are a great value and fit with no issues on a rwd car without having to remove the engine. But I dont know how well they fit on 4matic because the real weistec turbo pipes come with different engine mounts/brackets. Biggest difference with the turbo pipes vs just the downpipe is a huge increase in turbo spool sound.

Long story short, you don't want full turboback dps.

Unless you're about to upgrade the turbos and use some kind of magical sorcery on the tranny / TCU then there is truly no point.

All you really need to know is that the TCU nannies tq in 1st and 2nd so even though the car is fully capable of making some good power it is limited for launching. And no, nobody has a TCU solution except for maybe GAD who has an absolutely ridiculous E63 but if you're going to spend that kind of money you're better off in another car.

Then, for roll racing / pulls, once you get up around 750/800awtq you can run into slipping which clutch packs can help with. But again, that does nothing for the launch / drags and only really benefits in rolls.

Hell, guys have blown trannys launching on stock cars.. Mine makes 620awhp/763awtq and I won't launch it. Just pulls.

I'm running EC tune on catless downpipes and the car is a monster. I slap basically everything on the road mostly because people don't expect it and the things that do beat me I expect to and are really fast cars. But I also know it's at the limit and if I want more or to be faster then I'm in the wrong car. Example, mod for mod M5's and RS7's are faster all because of the tranny. That's just life.

There will always be something bigger, badder, faster, stronger out there.

I've just gone tune, dps, and new filters for performance. I am lowered with CF bits and such as well if you're into cosmetic stuff. When I did the tune and dps I also did new plugs and packs. If you're really hard on the car maybe some cooling upgrades which are key for turbo longevity but I mean you'd really have to be on the car a lot... I've seen meth added to the list too but I don't mess around with it really.

Other than that, I would just enjoy the car for what it is. Keep it well maintained and it'll give you a lot of fast, fun, miles.

There are other options, like turbo's, but you're starting to shell out some real cash at that point.
