Stutter when idling in drive
Do I need a new mct clutch or clutch re adaptation?
i figure these clutch plates wear out eventually

this is different than the jerky s or s+ starts ... this is if I slowly let OFF the brake to allow the car to idle forward and I feel the pulsing/shuddering forward motion of the car

I am pretty sure my '14 with 30K does it too... I also pretty sure it goes away once it hits normal operating temps (temp numbers are no longer blue) AND I do believe I have read on the forum that it's a normal issue with these cars... unless you are referring to something entirely different.
my issue is with the brake still applied and allowing the car to break from a stop and creep forward ... it pulses forward until I totally let off the brake and the mct is fully engaged ... still not pressing down on the accelerator ...
my issue happens at all temps ... never had this for 22k miles
thanks for feedback and your ideas!
i recall the jerky acceleration was associated with just that... acceleration with pressing down on the throttle

...and then of course the next time I drove it, i noticed it. A pulsing wobble. I've always kinda felt it, but never thought anything of it.
He said they all do that and he was wondering if mine was the same. Go figure.
FWIW this is not the same as when the car struggles to engage the clutch plates when it's freezing cold outside (mine is certainly struggling under these freezing temps, so I'm avoiding driving from freezing cold nowadays)

It is the clutch disengaging and re-engaging when you are idling in Drive (or immediately after you shift into drive). A 2014 E63 I drove some years back also had the same issue. It is more of an annoyance than a problem, see below.
Happened a lot in my wife's very old 528i which was a pure automatic. The software seems much better with the newer BMWs cos I have not felt anything like that in her most recent 535i or any of her previous but newer BMWs. We got rid of that 528i with 157k miles on the odometer and never a transmission issue on that car.
