OEM and tire manufactures dont recommend wider tire then the rim can support for many reasons, but tire side wall load being one biggest IMHO. A 295 is too big and enough to cause the sidewall to really give during heavy cornering making the car feel floaty and unpredictable. For track use a 275 would prob be best.

You and me both brother. Been running the Ps4 295's on the rear for 7 months now and zero issues. Looks like this thread is taking on the same debate that my thread did months back. lol I don't track my car. But I drive it as spirited as anyone! Tires are just fine. Here is my thread on this for reference:

It will work fine and do the job, but it isnt ideal of course.
This is a known downside to oversizing the rim of course, including fuel economy, tire wear, etc.
If you sensitive to a cars chassis, you will feel this downfall in transitions and load up in corners.
Please dont mistake my post as if this will make our cars drive like a cadillac in corners, like i said this isnt the ideal setup but of course will work.
Just depends what you like more or want more from your tires.
