That is the fastest oem turbo e63 I have seen. Even faster than some of the turbo upgraded e63s. The faster you can go on OEM Parts the better.
If AMS can make a comparable tune for ethanol blend fuel 😎

I saw a E85 dyno yesterday which was very impressive. It had an inline HPFP installed though to be safe. I may end up going that route if torque can be reined back somewhat. I'm not a fan of clutch slip and torque management.

Both my 109 file and the 93 file have been through a few versions to get here, I think 7 revisions and a few days on their dyno. Thanks for the positive reply's from all.

My thoughts exactly regarding OEM parts. They have been tortured much worse then what I've thrown at it.

Apologies for the incorrect information. The HPFP being replaced is the actual mechanical unit. I have no more information on it unfortunately.

Update on the tune.... we finally had an opportunity to get the car on the rollers to see how much power/torque was being put down with the E50 tune.
We knew we were making power due to my traps speeds when last we went to the track. This confirmed it.
We also logged HPTuner during the runs and I'll update the thread once I'm back at the house. The data logged looked really good.
Remember, this tune netted me consistent 11.0@129 runs the last time I went to the track.
Also remember my car is stock with the exception of the water meth, which we turned off for the runs. This is all tune!
And here he is in his native environment...
There is more in the tune according to Jerry, and he thinks we could eek out an additional 30 whp based on the logs, but truthfully, I like having that little extra headroom.
The car really likes this tune. Drive-ability has been enhanced in all aspects.

What I love about this tune is the ability to run straight 93 if wanted, or blend up to E50 if wanting to play.
This way, I can drive around with 93 octane making probably 60 less wheel horsepower and only add the E85 on top when wanting to play.
This should help with longevity on the platform.

For the nerds in the group, here are the three runs as logged in HP Tuners and displayed via DataZap...
This is the data index for the three graphs below...
Here is Pass 1...
Pass 2...
And finally Pass 3
All three runs were smooth a silk, and you'll notice how they overlaid each other on the dyno plot posted in the thread above.
The car is happy with this tune.
While the dyno plot tells one part of the equation, its data like this that indicates how comfortable the engine is with the tune.
Couple this with the last quarter mile slips that reflect this tune and I think I've done as good a job of detailing the tune as possible.
If anyone is on the fence about getting a flex fuel tune I can 100% endorse this one.
DM me if you are more comfortable conversing privately.
Next steps are a TCU tune hopefully.

Yes, the tune is completely switchable between maps. When going from E50 to straight 93, knock detection is used to switch maps. As a result, cautious driving for the first 20 miles is recommended. After that its business as usual.
I've run a range of fuels these last few weeks, ranging from E20 through E50 concentrations.
I have not run straight 93, but I expect that will occur on my next road trip when I don't have ready access to E85.
This tune will work with Race Gas as well. Its a great all around tune.

Looks like IAT are over 120 at end of run, would love to see a last run with meth to see if it actually helps. Is timing being pulled?
What are you using to log? I'd love to get one. Hp tuners vcm scanner?
Thanks for all your info

I've run logs at the track with/without water meth with no appreciable benefit to be honest. I'm running dual 250cc injectors. I may need to up the size to 500cc to see a benefit.
The jury is still out on that one. The tune was actually adding timing during the run so its very happy, and why Jerry felt there was more in the tune to be had.
Yes, I am using VCM Scanner using the HP Tuner dongle logging to a laptop PC on the passenger seat.

They are the smallest of three sizes that came with the Weistec Water Meth kit.
They are post intercooler I believe.
