EU/ROW Aspherical Blind Spot Mirror Swap W212 / S212...
Doing some research I am getting conflicting information on how to go about this. One says I have to take apart the entire housing another says I can just pry it out with my fingers.
Does anyone on here have a DIY or know how to swap out the mirror glass on a 2016 S212 E63 w/ Blind Spot Assist, Heated & Anti-Dazzle?

Manually turn the glass with your fingers to whichever side allows better access. Once you can get leverage on the side of the glass with your hands, carefully pry it off the motor. Its pretty simple once you do it a couple times. The glass is strong enough and wont brake. Just don't yank too hard. And be careful as the edge of the mirror is sharp enough to scratch the paint on the mirror cap so make sure you are keeping an eye on the side clearance before removal.

That is how I have done it in the past with Audi & BMW but was not sure if MB had the same procedure. Thank you for the help.

Thank you. No issues with connectors or unplugging and plugging in? I was told that is why some recommend removing the housing this way there is better access to the connections for anti-dazzle, heat etc.

I have amber triangles lit up constantly under 20mph but shut off in reverse or speeds over 20mph. I am having difficulty remembering but was this the way the BSA/BSM worked in the past or is there a fault?

Going forward under 20mph the amber triangle being on is normal for my '14. I cannot recall if the amber triangle goes away in reverse... I'll see if I notice tonight,

My wife says it's been like that since day one but I don't remember. I am noticing it now because I have been adjusting the mirrors to get them perfect and they are on all the time under 18-20mph then go off then come on again at highway speeds if there is a vehicle in the blind spot.
