Bumping this up.

Browsed the thread, but really couldn't get a conclusion. I've got a set of HRE P44SC's from an old car.

Specs are listed below:

HRE P44SC
Front = 19x8.5 ET47
Rear = 19x10 ET53

Any idea on if they'd fit a 2012-2016 E63 AMG?

Those front wheels, assuming they clear the brakes, are going to be significantly (16.4mm) more inset than the stock wheels.

Actually, the inset (position of the inside rim lip within the wheel well) will be 3.7mm more (inward toward the centerline of the vehicle).
It's the poke (the position of the outside rim lip within the wheel well) which will be 16.4mm more inward toward the centerline of the vehicle.

I used "inset" as a descriptor, not a technical term.

I think you might make someone who doesn't understand perhaps understand a little better by using the technical term, which is the actual term, rather than a descriptive term which you understand and the person can't get into your head and try to figure out what you mean! ROFL

So.....all this in an effort to say that the wheels will probably fit, but be positioned more inward?

Yep! As long as they clear the brakes, the centerbore diameter is correct, and bolt circle is correct, they will certainly fit.

Hmm. To give some context, the wheels are coming off a 11 MB C300 that had a C63 big brake conversion done on it.

I guess the next thing I need to do is figure out if the C63 and 2012-2016 E63 AMG E63 calipers are the same. If they are then the wheels will definitely clear.

Check on the part numbers of the rotors or at minimum the specs of the rotors. If the rotors are the same, or at least the diameter is the same and the rotor's hub dimensions are close, that means the caliper would be placed pretty closely even if they are different.

I have optimism for you!

I did some research on this and found that both E63 and C63 AMG front rotors are 360mm (or 14.17 inches). However, the rear rotors are different sizes. The C63 comes in at 330mm (or 12.99 inches) and the E63 comes in at 360mm (14.17 inches).

With all that said, it is starting to sound more promising on whether my HRE P44SC's will fit on the front. Only challenge now is to find an E63 AMG to purchase. Then I can do an actual test fitment lol

Hello guys,
So, I recently bought some wheels from BC Forged and was in the market for tires. I wanted to know if I could get away with running 305/30r20 on the rears. I'm still on stock fitment. I was just curious because I was trying to get a meatier tire setup.

To clarify - you bought BC wheels with stock wheel specs?

as brfatal was hinting at, we really need to know the specs of what you ordered before any recommendation can be made.

Now, for context, I can't say anything about 20" rims/tires, but I can speak on 19". I ordered some BCForged 19x9ET32 for the front, 19x10.5ET50 for the rear, and I have them wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact02 in 265/35x19 and 305/30x19 respectively, and no rubbing (and they look awesome).

But before any recommendations can be made, we would need to know what you ordered.

Also, I can say from experience that if you live in a city with any potholes, you're going to HATE HATE HATE 20s as they will get damaged and the ride is like you have concrete for wheels and tires. I got rid of those and went with 19s, and it's SOOO much better and still looks phenominal. Maybe there is still time to change your order if you wanted.

Just my $0.015.

Mike

Typically, you'd go with 305/25/20s. 305/30/20 would be too tall for 4MATIC to be happy. Yes, some have gone this route, but you'd have to kick up the profile in the front as well. Do at your own risk.

Sorry for late response guys but the exact wheel specs are 20x9.5 et 35 for the fronts and 20x10.5 et50 on the rears. I'm about to buy tires and I wanted to ask you guys a few things again so I curious what size tires I should get. So I know I asked earlier about fitting 305/30x20 on the rears but after reading what Rehabguy said I'll go with 305/25x20 on the rears and on the fronts I was thinking 265/30x20. Just wanted to run it by you guys so see if that would fit just fine, I'm still on stock suspension. And lastly this might be a dumb question but idc. What size lug bolts should I get? Reason I asked my friend said the oem lug bolts are going to be a little thicker for the rims. So I was confused by that so I thought, why not ask you guys lol but thanks for the responses earlier guys very much appreciated!

The tire sizes you are mentioning should work just fine, especially on stock ride height (with the wheel sizes you have mentioned. Many on here have been running said specs). In terms of lug bolts what you need to watch for is how they cut the lug holes. Most aftermarket wheels come with conical seat lug holes, so, you'd have to get conical lug bolts of the same length as your stock ones. The OE wheels have ball seat lug holes.
