Fake Engine Sound in GT??
Hey guys! Here is my question...
I just bought a 2019 Aston Martin Vantage. Loving it!
Since the Vantage is basically a reskinned GTS, I joined this forum to learn what I could about the car. There seems to be VERY LITTLE information on the Vantage so far. AM's info is also extremely limited.
One of my biggest questions and area of interest, is the exhaust sound and especially the "fake" engine sounds the car "makes". Does anyone know anything about the system???
(Manufacturers do not like to talk about these systems, surprise, surprise...)
I need to find out the following....
1 - What does MB call the system they use in the GT/S/R?
2 - How does it work? Is there a tube of some sort from the intake to the cabin?
3 - Is it the same system in the Vantage?
4 - Can it be turned off/deleted/bypassed?
5 -Does getting rid of it cause any problems?
2019 Aston Martin Vantage
2018 Jaguar F-Type 400 Sport
2018 Dodge Charger Hemi
2017 Mazda CX-5
2016 BMW 750i
2004 Mini Cooper S JCW

Benz engine and COMAND system, but the rest of the car is not a GTS.
The Benz doesn't use piped in engine sound, just active exhaust and stuff like that but no fake sounds in the GT lineup.

Congrats on the Aston Martin!
Answer above is correct. No fake sounds in the GTS. Active exhaust only.
Im pretty sure the AM is NOT a re skinned GTS! Just engine and infotainment system is from AMG.
you question though is better suited for GT forum. cheers
