you are reading a post from THE most conservative mbworld forum member ... ME! Get a second ecu and enjoy this car more .. just had $1500 of warranty work done yesterday on engine and no issues with the stock ecu being flagged
i bought my 63 new in 2014 and also an ELW Benz warranty 7/75. I waited till the b2b was up before I tuned but knowing what I know now I would have tuned year one after break in
enjoy
So just look on Ebay for "E63 ECU" for 2016?
Sounds like a no-brainer!

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ecu tune; edok tcu tune; BB intakes; dyno tuned
The big and little numbers have to be identical on the sticker

this won't work; read the link above.... also yes this is a no brainer and thanks to Vrodman for teaching me all about this and Chris Marshall at ams for making this so easy

Still waiting to hear how much PSI you 93 octane guys on the ams tune are running peak. Be nice to have that on file with these dyno sheets.

I keep hearing from a few sources i know that removing the primary cats aka downpipes on these engines doesnt yield any real gains at all. Looking at dyno sheets, im almost ready to agree with that.

Good to have an idea now for the knowledge of our small community.
Talking to Renntech, i know there tune on 93 octane runs around 18-18.5 psi and their R1 tune with Blow off valve runs 19-19.5 psi for reference and comparison.
