Finally got my E63 tuned by AMS and installed catless down pipes, lets just say I would never be able to drive this vehicle If it was stock. Worth every penny the guys over at AMS are truly legendary. Look at the numbers she put out. Let me know if file uploaded I cant tell or see it lol. Vehicle is a straight MONSTER. I regretted trading in my c63 and was heart broken for WEEKS. Now I am glad I made the switch. This E63 almost lifts off the ground when you launch from a dig and will smoke all 4 tires. Beyond satisfied, vehicle is a 2015 with 8k miles on it.

congrats Kevy the car is night and day different i'm sure.....and the stock version is pretty ridiculous, but the tune makes it a monster and you will be needing new tires faster than you expected

we should some AMS Dynojet sheets up to just compare notes on HP/TQ numbers - they seem to show about 600WHP and 750WTQ on the tune only. but some cars show really high WTQ numbers as well...not sure if any differences 14/15/16 models behind that slight WTQ difference

Great numbers! Very strong.. A few things i noticed from these engines, they make ALOT of tq! and not much HP to be gained up top, after 5K RPM's.
Agreed. Massive midrange but not a lot more up top. Likely not the tuner's fault, just airflow limitations in the engine, turbos, etc. Of the gains shown on this dyno sheet it would be nice to know how much was from the software vs the catless DPs.
Yes its definitely night and day difference with the tune vs stock, when its running stock it feels so sluggish with no throttle response. hahaha I can tell I am going to burn threw tires very quickly but that is fine with me lol. For the most part I noticed the guys who are pushing the 600whp range more than likely have air boxes which will give you that slight increase, without them you will be in the 591-595 whp range. There cars from the factory come pretty strong hp wise from the factory turbos that's why your not able to squeeze too much more hp out of them. Keep in mind they are all hand made as well so there will be a difference in almost every motor. I am super down for a meet up with everyone that sounds like a good time! I am running 93 octane as well for those who where asking which fuel ratio.

AMS downpipes?? Debating between AMS and Kooks. Did you get the downpipes ceramic coated?
I got my 2016 and thought "This thing is a monster! Wooo!"
After a few days: "This is normal."
Second week: "I think I might need a tune."
I'm scared of warranty work - my MB warranty is good until almost 2023.
Suggestions?
you are reading a post from THE most conservative mbworld forum member ... ME! Get a second ecu and enjoy this car more .. just had $1500 of warranty work done yesterday on engine and no issues with the stock ecu being flagged
i bought my 63 new in 2014 and also an ELW Benz warranty 7/75. I waited till the b2b was up before I tuned but knowing what I know now I would have tuned year one after break in
