Best price on MB Service Plan?
#2
All of these plans have $100 markup in them from the manufacturer - nearly every dealer will be very close on price for any pre-paid maintenance plan. Not much "shopping around" to do there.

Email jeff Jackson at tafel motors ... he will give you the base price for this plan ...Benz sets the price and dealers inflate ... therefore there absolutely is shopping around to do... some dealers inflate $500-750 more!

You also might want to try local MB dealers as well. Some dealers offer their own service plan which could be much less than MB. Obviously you can only bring your car to their dealership for service vs. the MB one you can bring to any MB dealership. Example a local MB dealership in chicago offers their 3 service plan for $1000 vs MB wanted about $1800. The only thing i gathered that was different was no wiper blades were included.

They have threads on the forum where people discuss dealers with the best ELW price. I live in Chicago and bought mine from a dealer in Wisconsin several years ago and it saved me $1100 vs my local dealer. So I'd check here for dealers that are currently offering the best deal.

Technically all are correct. ELW and CPO warranties are marked up a lot and you can easily save 1000s. For pre-paid maintenance, the standard mark up may only be $100, but some dealers mark things up more than list price. I have one dealer near me that charged about 33% more for a part that had a $60 list price, found another dealer a few miles away that had it at list price. Same as the price for Service A and B, some dealers are more than others.
