Lowering front “on the cheap”

The rear in Sport mode looks pretty good, i just wish that I could drop the front a tiny little bit, 0.5” maybe.

I thought there might be some sort of a rubber insulator on the spring, so i looked in my EPC, and sure enough there is. I wonder if we can remove #40 (212-322-04-84) and rest the spring directly onto #70 (204-981-00-25) which I believe is a rubber insulated bearing. Figure it’ll drop the front end a tiny little bit.

Any one who’s had the springs out, what are your thoughts? Am I crazy or might this work? Older Mustang guys add/remove it when they need a 0.5” adjustment.

Haha. But the wheel gap though...

I get what you are saying, but this is not a “cut-springs to save money” type of a solution. I’d spend a $1,000 on a pair of springs if they’d allow me to drop only 0.5”. And the best part, no yellow or blue springs to have the dealer flag, it’ll all still remain stock. These isolators are often used to by the manufacturer to level the suspension and get it to the correct height, i coould certainly be wrong, but i dont know or see any other purpose.

They seem to drop quite a bit and i hear the ride is rough. I live in NYC and our roads are bad to begin with.

If my idea doesn’t work (im not giving up just yet), i hear KW adjustables are comfier than H&R. Quite honestly, this car is already pretty stiff, even compared to my lowered E55.

yeah those are definitely better. unfortunnately I bought my HR springs before those KW adjustables came out lol. Havent had any issue with ride quality but I do wish I had that level of adjustability
