e63 exhaust

Hi everyone, I own a w212 e63 amg. I feel like the exhaust is a little quiet and i really want it to sound louder. The car is stock right now. What is the best way to make it happen with lower budget? I very new to this and have no idea what i can do. Please help me!

Is straight pipe going to be super loud? I’ve heard that deleting the resonator will make the sound extremely loud. i want to have loud sound but not so much of it. Also do you know how much it will cost? I have a low budget and hope to do it in a cheap way. Thanks for your help!

You would leave the mufflers in place, just cut out the resonator's ahead of the mufflers. Replace with pipe. I am unsure what a shop would charge but it would be the least expensive option.

not even a little. most of the change comes when you flex your right ankle. otherwise, its a subtle change over stock....

Muffler delete is the best and cost will be around $150-200. You will get more crackle and pops too

Hello.

I did a resonator delete today.
For me it was perfect. When you are crusing there is no drone at all and the soundlevel sounds like stock.
But as soon as you touch the throttle it sounds like a different animal. A much deeper and louder growl

Wow that's a great install. I'm surprised they coated the pipes and welds! If only all shops did the work this well!

Thanks for the pic DPC84. I like it.

What's is coated with? Is the added pipe Stainless Steel or other? Is it coated before or after installed? Thanks.

Some sort of matt black spray paint.
Added pipes are Stainless Steel.

Been awhile since you deleted the resonator....any complaints? Still like the sound? any exhaust pulsing or anything?

I LOVE the sound nothing out of the ordinary at the moment.
I will probably have a custom exhaust made with remote controlled valves for even more noise

Agree and you will get more burbles and pops out of it too.

Have you thought removing the resonator with muffler delete? I wonder how that would sound.

I am installing down-pipes in three weeks scheduled and am probably going to love it, but it may be a bit loud cause all that will be left is the resonators for me. We shall see how it sounds. I am probably going to have to add back after-market mufflers less restrictive over stock. I would like to turn the heads of fans with an awesome sound as long as they are not the ticket issuing type lol ...good thing I am a track only guy lol

For the muffler delete, is there a product to take its place? or did you just place a pipe in its place. Pic would be nice. Following your experience. Keep us posted. I'm getting ready to do a downpipe, as well.

Any muffler shop can do it and it’s a pipe in replace. It requires some bending and make sure they use the highest metal quality.
