Needed new rotors so I went and purchased 4 2 piece giro disc rotors. When I received them I didn’t like the rotor hat colors. So I stripped primed and professionally painted the hats with the same paint as what’s on our cars. 3 coats of black base coat and 2 coats of performance clear coat. It has been 3 months so far and the paint looks like the day I sprayed. Performance wise the disc are holding up great. Definitely stops better with the redstuff red pad but if I’m putting stress on the brakes I feel them loose bite the hotter they get . For street driving perfect for track I would get a more aggressive pad.
Look great! I love the Girodisc rotors and Magic pads on my E63. Decent weight savings and I know these are quality parts. I agree, the pads are great street pads, but wouldn't work for the guys tracking their cars.

I just had the same Girodisc setup installed on my wagon and after a very good drive down in Mexico, I'm pleased with my set up. Not much brake dust and the bite was there when I needed it.
agreed - had the 2 piece rotors on my 211 E63 wagon and absolutely loved them - when i am ready to replace them on my 212 E63 wagon ill be going with GiroDisc again - no deals - direct from manufacturer - way better than racing brake discs - and designed/made in US!
