$1500 for engine, tranny & differential oil changes... Is a lot of $$$$ to me...
Heck I figure if I did it myself parts would only be $200 - $250.
Then the labor is crazy for something that probably only took 2 hours.

What is labor rate and hours?

Sales tax is different as mine is only 7%.
Main reason why i even call the dealerships is because the car is still under factory warranty +3yrs cpo, gotta jump through the hoops if you dont want headache when the car is due for some major warranty work. Ive done alot of those services my self as soon as i bought the car. Multiple dealers in my area quoted a similar price. People buying these cars should be prepared to pay more than 1.5k$ or buy something more wallet friendly.
Wow that’s expensive I just had my dealer do a trans service, oil change, re Torque my aftermarket spark plugs (didn’t trust previous shop), and all 4 cam position sensors and paid less than you.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but how difficult is the transmission service on these cars? I'm closing in on 60k miles so it should be due. Dealer quoted me $450, and looking to save a little money.
My A service I just got last week was only $200 plus I had Coupon from Dealer for $25 off that.

One service can highly differ from another in price. Plus if youre comparing a non amg model such as e400 to a e63, its not exactly apples to apples.

Is it a 722.9 transmission? If so its not hard. Just gotta make sure the car is level during the fluid change.
On a side note the car shifts better now, smoother when cruising and more crisp under load.
yeah i just had dealer do my 31k trans service and A-5 service. paid 200 for the A service and 500 for the trans service (new filter, gear oil, gasket). have 2 years of CPO warranty left so went with dealer (Loeber MB Chicago) which is pricey but they do an exceptional job and i get the same master tech always working on my car.
definitely can say the hard downshifts in S+ mode from 4-3-2 that i would experience when the car is cold are gone after the fluid change... car seems happy, very smooth shifting again.
