Hi:

I am purchasing a 2015 E 63 S AMG wagon 4 matic. It currently has 46k miles on it.Would you recommend an extended warranty? I have been looking on-line and can't seem to find much on it. The dealer said they offer some options, but I would imagine that it is more advantageous to find my own.?.?.? This in going to be my first AMG - any recommendations or insight would be appreciated!

Congratulations! Please post a photo of the E63s when it comes home with you. I likely would go for an extended warranty, because you don't have first hand experience with the vehicle's history and because it is not covered, or nearly not covered, by the original factory warranty.

Second this. If you want to drive, sleep well and enjoy. And if the car qualifies.

But of course, many drive without warranty as well, and as long as you keep $5-10k in the piggiebank for repairs - you are in the same place.

Like any high performance car, they all have their list of issues, failures, and common problems, the M157 engine and chassis, are on the more reliable side of that list.
but if you can get a warranty for a fair price, its worth it!
