Car shows to have been maintained according to carfax ,but do these cars develop issues as miles go up.

Every car I've ever owned develops issues over time. Please tell us what you are worried about so we can help.

Im 55 and I am concerned that a forced induction car at this milage may not be a great investment for $45k. Car is nice looking but wanted to get owners opinions on typical longevity for this model. Thanks

If the car has been maintained as you mention and the deal is what you want. I wouldn’t be worried about miles... tons of examples of the m157 taking on the miles like a champ

Get an MB certified and buy the extended 2 year warranty. That way, you don't have to worry about any issues that will cost you an arm and a leg.

Agree with MJ as long as you take good care of the beast it will last you a long time. I have seen E63s with really high mileage and still going strong.

E63s
Private sale or dealer?
It private I would take it for a full inspection at a reputable MB dealer.

If you think a car like this is an "investment", then you are misguided. Very few automobiles appreciate over time. Of course if you are asking whether this car is a ton of fun for the money it costs, then the answer is yes.

The M157 and MCT trans are generally very reliable high performance pieces. Compared to its rivals, it is more solid.

54k miles for any car 5+ years old is not a lot of miles. This is only ~10k miles/year. The average daily driver is 12k+/year.

I have a 2015, 1 year newer, and I only have 41k, which is pretty good. Your pace/year is not far off from that. Run the car's VIN with any local MB service advisor and they will tell all work and/or issues with the car.

Good Luck

+1 If it was a 2016 with over 50k miles I would be more apt to have some concern, but not for a 2014. Ditto on running the VIN with a MB service adviser.

But highway miles are easier on an amg engine I suppose ...then some will say Amg's need to be driven hard....

This is a good deal, iff there are no accidents and clean maintenance record. These engines can take many more miles when maintained as designed....

It's not too many miles, but I think that price should go down a little.
