I replaced mine with an all Alcantara steering wheel. The pic of the wheel installed was taken in my garage at night so it doesn't look great so I attached the pics of it before the install. All of the buttons work just like my factory wheel.

Thanks for the comparo pic! That has convinced me to try it. I've been hesitant because I figured it wouldn't be able to make that much of a diff after several years of compaction.
