Wasn't quite sure where to post this but I spoke to GAD today and asked them about there transmission software update. They will not supply it separately only with there stage tuning.

Im sure I saw someone had emailed them regarding the tcu tune.

Yep same scenario for me but there are other stretches of highway I explored last night especially for the 60-130 runs. Those are coming shortly. I have a spot for my 0-60 runs ( no slope) the 1/8 mile, 1/4 and 60-130 are the slope challenges. Not much IMO but a great stretch of highway with no curves.

I did however improve my 0-60 run last night from a 3.34 best to a 3,27 so the brake boosting practice is paying off.

GAD will never be voted Ms Congeniality... they are notoriously difficult to deal with.

Senad aka 5soko may be able to help you with an alternate avenue to TCU tuning if your willing to drive to Stuttgart.... I suggest reaching out to him in PM...

Good question as this route for Ethanol is a recently developed tune so to categorize it with other (canned) tunes is a bit misleading and doesn't carry the same significance.

It does however come with a handheld genius but the best part of this entire scenario when I dyno this beast along with the HP tuners software and send that to Jerry the options to explore more performance is there along with his customer service skills are 2nd to none.

I second that, Jerry has said if I get him some logs with hp tuners and send them over he will take care of any adjustments.

I will message him I'm actually travelling to Germany in March so that could be a possibility!

Even though we are in the same general area as each other, the majority of my tuning was done remotely as well, with me sending the logs to him, and him sending me back a revised tune to load and test. Its fantastic that now everyone gets the same level of access regardless of location.

does he charge for revising the tune?

I wasn't charged for retunes after the initial investment in the flash handheld and tune.

Well it seems we need to bring excitement back to this thread! Yesterday I was finally able to dyno the car since the E50 Flash and EuroCharged mainly Jerry didn't disappoint!!

When you see the chart this was on a Mustang dyno so there is a greater parasitic loss. The amount varies from 8%-10% but the tuner stated he has direct comparison to another local dynojet which shows up as 7% loss. Same mustang dyno as my base runs which was 565/585 so I picked up 88HP and 164 ft/lbs of TQ.. The curves here is most appealing as the torque and HP hold over and don't show any signs of drop off.

So quick math 1.07*653=698HP dyno jet numbers and 1.07*749HP equates to 801 on a dyno jet. Really strong showing and she cooled down very quickly even without a heat exchanger. That will be on my list before summer rolls around plus the ethanol sensor. So at the crank with 15% loss is still around 822hp and 942 torque if we add 17% then it goes to 841 and 965 (trying to be realistic.so I'll opt out for the lower %).

Completely stock for the entire audience out there including all of those that have opted for D/P's, Filters, Spark plugs, and whatever else you can imagine.. Plus I ran the 10.98@130 on E30 haven't had the opportunity to run it on E50 that will be done soon.

I might look for a local dynojet just to show the number junkies what she can do there but this for right now is plenty strong!! Me and Brett were well pleased with today's results and since we might be the last owners to run this specific tune once the E85 rolls out. To add insult to injury I have raced 3 Hellcats, a SRT with a built motor and one nasty looking C6 Zo6 Which I pulled him to 170MPH by 6 cars before he left off the throttle.

The top end is beyond ridiculous look for me to dip into the 10.8 mark without the TCU..

Mustang Dyno results in 80 degree heat!

Looks at the curves

One dynojet result is much more comparable to other dynojet's results than a particular mustang dyno is to another mustang dynos. There are less inputs to fudge (intentionally or not). That's why they are preferred, though the generally higher numbers don't hurt either.

I'm more interested in your dynojet numbers, but it looks promising.

10-4 that is the reason I stood with the same location and it was plug and play once we strapped her down. The Dyno numbers is a luxury at this point I'm already a 10 sec car so not worried.

You are right, additional dyno runs would be basically just a public service I guess to those of us without the tune who are thinking of getting one ... dynojet helps tell the impact story for those of us who have dynoed. Even 1/4 mile runs & traps need adjusted for DA (and driver mod), but STD/SAE corrected dyno runs are directly comparable.

We now have 2 different cars in stock trim from two different regions of the country running on two different dynos exhibiting the same dyno profile. Dyno numbers aside, they are also within 11.05 vs 10.98 seconds.... or seven thousandths of a second between them at 130 mph. I'd say that's pretty damn repeatable. I don't need to see another dyno plot to know this tune performs.

Compare my dyno to the one above from Marine_1. Look where max torque is made and notice the power doesn't fall off like the older tunes. Power is very linear and smooth.

awesome. to be clear....this is the tune at 18psi? not the 'normal' corn tune being sold thats at 14psi, right?

do you have any dragy tests showing your 100-200km/h or 60-130mph times? Would be interesting to see as the top end is where it’s pulling it’s strongest performance. Try it from a 2nd or 3rd gear rolling start from 40-50mph starting speed.

also, who is doing the TCU upgrade? Is this just a TCU tune you speak of?

The information is in the thread but to reiterate for the audience it relies more on timing not boost. The boost is what contributes to heat soak, Tranny life along with other complications. For the few people that understand internal combustion we are moving the burn rate to the front of the spark (high level explanation) That makes this tune really responsive in terms of throttle response, what also contributes to this is the Ethanol content which greatly reduces EGT's, washes the cylinder walls and many other positive factors. Last but certainly not least is the increase in the octane rating to a minimum of 100+

Plus this isn't a normal corn tune a lot of time and research went into this look I personally had 2 reflashes done so I can really maximize the fuel trims and adding or subtracting fuel.

Hey Brother the dragy I have so far are based on my E30 Introduction I will be running those various "speeds" shortly on the E50 version which definitely is stronger. The dragy's results I have so far are posted for me in the thread. The 60-130 and 100-200KM is where this lady shines and those need to be illustrated. The TCU is a work in progress but that should come to fruition soon enough. So the answer is no TCU so far. That will be the icing on the cake.

thanks, yes just be careful on the TCU to make sure it will be reliable after. It was noted earlier that someone did it and only gained 0.1s and it wasn’t reliable.

with good TCU tune it will probably gain .1-.2s at most but I guess better than nothing!

id like to see on 94 octane if you get a chance what you run on 100-200km/h (e30 blend).

also, on your 10.98 1/4 mile was this done at the track? If so, why does dragy record it as being on 0.94% downhill slope?

after correction (download app Zeitenjagd) this app is great and will show you corrected times for slopes, your 11.04 run was actually much better. Corrected times for that run was 10.74s while the 10.98 was corrected time of only 11.40s.
