Brake Pads & Rotors: Dealer Quote $1,600??
I recently got a dash message saying "check brake pad wear" so I reached out to the dealer to give me a quote and he came back with $1,600 for pads & rotors... I have a 16' E63s with around 35k miles CPO & still under warranty
Wanted to seek advice on if it is necessary for me to do both the rotors & pads and if this price is reasonable??
If people have other solutions aka aftermarket pads / rotors I can purchase and get installed please post links to those products!

- I doubt all 4 pads and rotors need to be replaced at the same time

As others have said our MB OEM Parts are not cheap... but still your looking at under a grand for pads/rotors front and back.
This can be done by an experienced tech in less than 2 hours... so a "Reasonable" Price is $1,200 and I'm being generous...
Are you handy ? if so no special tools required for this... other than a torque wrench...
My dealer floated a $3k bill to my ML63..... After looking up parts I went back to him and said so when do techs get a thousand dollars an hour ?
Mike
Might not be worth it on the rotors because of shipping but on pads it's a good thing.

My thoughts are if I buy pads online they'll provide less brake dust than say the pads Mercedes would install.. Not sure about rotors though?
