PLM Heat Exchanger Upgrade - Group buy!!!

Hey guys,

I have reached out to PLM (Private Label MFG) and they are willing to offer MBWorld members a group buy discount off 30% off their Heat Exchangers for the M157 engine. They are current listed at $495. With the 30% off this will come out to a total of$346.50 per unit.
We have to get 10 units ordered in order for this discount to apply. So for right now please let me know if you are interested and I will add you to the list. Once we have our group of 10 we can submit payment directly to PLM and they will ship out the Heat Exchangers.

Replaces factory part number A 099 500 32 03
PLM 1-Year Replacement Warranty

If you have an S model then there are two heat exchangers you can upgrade. Based on the post here it seems like you only need 1 for the passenger side if you want to keep the IAT lower. The driver side is for the coolant temps.

I will update the list as people respond. I will start this off with including myself
1) Thabigo22 (2 units)
2) BCP - (1 unit)
3) Sameze63s - (need to know units)
4) Brutus _tx - (1 unit)
5) Scott Gerhardt - (1 unit)
6) Maxusa - (1 unit)
7) Yakatak - (2 units)
8) Marine_1 - (1 unit)
9) Sebastin_Bird - (1 unit)
10) Try M3 - (1 unit)
11)
Adnan Siddiqui - (1 unit)
12) WANTED!! - (1 unit)
13) Nm0117 - (1 unit)
14) AKnight55 _ (1 unit)
15) karpetcm - (1 unit)
16) Hunterc2399 - (1 unit)
17)
CLS63Matt - (1 unit)
18) Siegmann - (1 unit)
19) repae63 - (2 units)

Total units: 21

Of course man, All it took was a quick easy phone call. I negotiate for a living so this comes second nature and helps out the whole community as well. I am not a fan of the AMG tax so whatever I can do to help

So it looks like the owner purchased its from VRP and had it installed at that shop Modern Master Auto. I believe VRP carries the PLM heat exchanger since PLM ( Private Label Manufacturing) are the manufacturer. I can confirm with them tomorrow. Essentially we are getting their wholesale price because we are buying all at once.

Nice price. I bought one of these from AMS With my Alpha tune, but haven’t installed it yet. Any noticeable gains and can that rubber snorkel be removed to allow more airflow through the exchanger? It looks quite restrictive

Yes, that looks to be like the only way. The bumper removal is easy. I did it a few weeks ago when I was repainting my grill black we tried to remove the grill without removing the front bumper and it is impossible. Literally wasted an hour trying to do it. Removing the bumper took no more then 10 mins.

I believe that one shall be able to transplant the aux heat exchanger by removing the front wheel and fender liner. I doubt you must remove the front bumper.

A novel idea: if the order count goes over 20, should we not qualify for twice the discount? Go W212 team!

That would be ideal but I already asked them that lol, this was the best discount he was willing to do ATM.
