been thinking about adding an after-market heads-up display. Has anyone had any success adding HUD to W212? I'd really love to hear group feedback regarding this (I searched but did not find any thing related to adding HUD to our model vehicles). Thanks in advance!

Interested as well. I had a 2011 BMW 550 that had one. Never understood why Mercedes never had them til the latest gen of cars. Especially not in the AMGs

I wouldn’t get anything aftermarket, the obd ones are garbage.

i have the HUD on my 18 C63s and still find myself looking down vs the speedo on the glass

don't mean to thread jack, but I am looking for a way to add a front camera - which is the biggest thing i wish i had especially in parking lots as my 212 is pretty low and while pulling into the garage.

The only good HUD I've ever seen are the old Defi VSD units. The problem is that they are long out of production. All of the aftermarket stuff today is very cheap in function and appearance.

So it is technically possible to retrofit the Surround View package based on prior research. However, as with most Mercedes retrofits, the parts alone will cost as much as it did ordering it from the factory The other component is the labor involved will be significant.

exactly i am looking for an aftermarket retrofit - saw a BT front camera that I can connect to my phone, but looking for something i can connect to the CKM display if possible as it supports the surround view -
