Pembroke Mercedes, FL Deposit 2014 E63S Wagon WDDHH7GB6EA965397 Update: post # 21)

Always wanted one and while cross shopping the Cayenne TT/S, ran into this 2014 E63S Wagon with 10K miles. Was custom ordered by the Dealership owner for his friend and was recently put up for sale.
Test drove another one locally with 100K miles to see if I liked it prior to leaving the deposit and OMG.. the sound, the stance and the power... I even let my 17 year old test drove it and he was simply blown away with the way the car looked/felt and handled.
More to come

Congrats! I too looked at it, but my retro taste for interior kept me out of trouble. It appears like a great vehicle. Welcome to the fold.

Haha, I had that car on hold 10 minutes after it was listed 2 months ago but decided against it with dealer fees, taxes and transportation.

I was skeptical about all that too but where else would you buy a one owner Wagon with 10K miles... The dealer fees I will easily save on the extended warranty with the car's low mileage...

Oh I agree! It was just too far over my budget all in. But it was a great price considering even still.

Thanks and glad to be part of wagon community. What's the right size spacers to fill the gaps?

Thanks

The inside of the driver seat looks pretty worn, for a 10k car. I guess the previous owner was always sliding over the side cushion.

Congrats. You would want to use H&R 10” front and 12” rear spacers to have a flush fitment on OEM wheels weather you plan on lowering it or not.

Enjoy in good health.

Yup agreed but nothing leatherique can't fix.

How do you lower it?

Also do they make a nice set of sporty mud guards ( smaller) especially for the front to save the rockers and the rear fenders?

Thanks

Sorry, don’t know about mud guards, perhaps your local Mercedes parts department?

As for lowering, I would recommend this:

Lowering Module for Mercedes, OBD-2 plug-and play system, Airmatic
Amazon Amazon

This is an OBD lowering that you can custom set the height you desire and you can return it to OEM setting before service visits.

It should be noted this module would only lower the rear since the 2014 E63 only has Airmatic in the rear. To lower the entire car, your best options are:

Front: KW H.A.S. coil overs or H&R fixed height lowering springs
Rear: adjustable lowering links

Congrats on the wagon - gorgeous spec, and 10k miles! Wow!

Wow - that is awesome, 10k miles! Congrats on the car, and enjoy it!

I know I am still super happy about finding my 14 sedan. These cars are better than I thought they would be.

Your right, thanks for the correction. Was thinking of the 4matic.

I have the h&r and links on my car and love it but have been told the KW HAS kit is better. I have zero complaints on the h&r but you can't choose your ride height. The rear links take some time to get adjusted just right and I've found that I can only get the rear about 1/2" too low or too high due to how each end has to face 180 degrees opposite of one another so I went 1/2" low.

I was bothered by the bolster wear too when I looked at it but it doesn't look too bad. I wouldn't expect leatherique to do too much but the low mileage far outweighs that minor wear. The original owner was a much older person though and likely was less careful getting in and out. Few wheels had some rash but they said they were fixing that.

Update

Pulled out of the deal... If anyone seriously considering this car, I will gladly share what I know now and not before... Hint Hint: the question to ask yourself, why is this dang thing not certified ( 6 years/less than 50K miles) and I found my answer... South FL always gets me excited...

Interesting. Something told me not to get this car too. Priced too good to be true from an MB dealer even though it was above my budget. I was shocked to see this thread and learn it hadn't sold yet but I didn't want to rain on your parade.

No you were absolutely right and your comment of " leaving a deposit 2 month ago" got me thinking as to why this thing hadn't sold in 2 months... Price did bother me ( bit on lower side) but the fact that it wasn't certified, really made me concerned.
I will gladly tell you all what i found but don't want to get into defamation crap and all that.
