Quote: ITs very hard to get a good video. I ordered a new f1.4 lens for my DSLR, hopefully that helps.
In the mean time, i took some just ok cell phone vids. The problem is once it gets uploaded to YT, they compress it and you lose all the highbeam on the trees to the side on the video.... which is like 90% of the benefit we are looking for lol. Oh well, you can still see the "box" on the ground
can you upload it to Dropbox? 😁 I can PM you a link

This is awesome. I will post some videos of things I learned to code over the years once I have some free time to do them.

Awesome! I would look forward to that. There's quite a few other things that I would like to do.
The only things that I have done other than the headlights are turn off the seatbelt chime that beeps when you start the car, and allow the nav and text message to be used while the car is in motion.

I would like to change the eco mode to "last used."
Possibly enable the speed limit sign recognition
It would be nice to be able Extend the distronic steering wheel touch nanny from the 5 seconds or whatever it is now till like 30 seconds lol.

Funny thing, the two things that I'm currently looking in to is to program the eco mode "to last used" and using the key fob to open/close the trunk. Will post how to once I get it down

I actually did the trunk and it didn't really work as expected.
let me know if you're able to get it to work satisfactory.
Here's what mine did:
When I pushed the trunk button on my key, the trunk would pop open, bounce once and then slam shut lol. I've read that after you do it you should recalibrate it in xentry, I didn't do that. I just coated it back to stock. Swing your foot under the bumper works great if you don't have your hands free

Messing with my new lens, eventually i'll get the setting right.
I do like have it can account for multiple cars and the "box" can follow the car around a turn.

That looks great.
I am still baffled is why US is ages behind of everyone else in this respect and made MB disable that feature.

By the way I do have eco mode set "to last used" option. I really like that feature. I did not like that it would shout the engine down time you rollup to a stop sign.
I used vladimircdi's dongle to enable that along with AA being enabled. Unfortunately I do not have the access to vediamo to read what coding was used. Come up to KY to get it scanned
It is my understanding that dongle is changing the coding by running some script/program internally the similar way vidiamo is doing by GUI.

When you use vediamo, it simply weird a string of code to the particular module. I'm sure that's how those OBD modules work, pretty brilliant IMO, they seem to be very popular and readily available in other cars.

The eco last mode is super easy, it's just one click under the med177 module. I've also deleted all the nanny's off the head unit that hid things while moving

I cleaned up the coding up top and fixed some typos. I confirmed on my car its CGW231 and IGW212 are correct.
I found out from a few others that cars withOUT distronic PLUS do not have the IGW212 module. I have never coding any of these, but they told me they are successfully running ILS even though they skipped the IGW212 part.

Hey Kenny, I am David from Miami and I am going to an art show at the Palm Beach Convention Center this Saturday. I am interested in installing the euro ILS+ in my non AMG w212. Would appreciate some insight and meet at the show would be cool as well. Thanks in advance.

Was just thinking the same….so quick question if anyone can educate me please….I have a 2019 X166 with ILS and located in US. I am one of the guys that purchased VLAD’s OBD2 module. I see the automatic high beam icon on the dash coming up.

Questions:
1. Is ILS+ same as IHC+?
2. I don’t see ILS menu under light section on the dash (not sure why)
3. Running my VIN through vincoderz, i do see 608 and 640 features on my car.
4. Not sure VLAD’s OBD only activates IHC+ or both?

ILS is the English acronym, IHC+ is the German acronym... same thing.
Vlad and the other coders just flash a generic, basic ILS onto your car... they made be missing settings and changing parameters that don't need changed. The coding above takes longer going over each specific coding. Likely the vlad module didnt code everything, like the dash cluster etc.

There is a guy who runs a large W212 focused FB group who codes Mercs for cheap. Much less than Vlad, that's for sure.
