Full Euro Intelligent Light system via vediamo
Mercedes-Benz designed some amazing intelligent headlights yet they weren't able to use them in the US market. I made this video not as a how-to, but rather just to shows how I was able to fully activate the intelligent light system plus in my w-212 e63s

Description of the w213 system
In the w212, the best way to describe it is the low beam is always on.
When following a car, the high beam splits on half with very define edges at the center, it never touches the car in front of you, you can see your low beam cut off line on their car.
When there is an opposite direction car, the high beam will dip just on the one side to not blind the oncoming driver.
There is also a fog light function, when you click it, the beam will aim more down and spread out.

Start by googling how to use vediamo, actually found two PDF files here on this forum. They're quite long but will help. You can also watch YouTube videos of all the Russian guys lol making changes on their car.
Second play with simulation mode, get a feel for it and practice what you're going to do.
Third, start by just downloading your current coding for these modules by connecting to the module, and hitting save to file. Then you can either print these, or just inspect them on your computer. This will also tell you the variant, so when you use vediamo and simulation mode, you know what variant to click.
Fourth, once you've come up with your plan, again practice it in the simulation mode.
Once you're brave enough to try it, work slow, so as to be careful you don't click the wrong button etc.
It took me about 10 tries to get it My current outcome.
I literally recorded the screen with my phone while I was doing coding. That way if I messed anything up, at least I could watch the video to see what happened. I have about an hour and a half a video lol.

Yah first step is I’m going to go through the diff ECUs you’ve highlighted and review the options I have vs the 212 and map em and try to see if I can find where the differences are. I’m going to probably do it through Monaco VS Vediamo. Should be the same just diff tool.

That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing 😁
how much is that system for coding lol
also quick question slightly off topic, any idea if a difference language can be coded to the stereo? Anytime I have foreign music playing the characters show as squares lol

I was looking at the options for the head unit yesterday, you definitely can change a lot of things. Including the language and region etc. I'm not sure What would happen if you changed it to a different language, would it still know English as well?

To OP - this is great info!
I'm one of the people that instead bought Vlad's module, and I can say that once you use the ILS you wonder how you survived before. Esp in two scenarios:
1. Following another car in a two lane road, it's amazing to see the light on the side of the road uninterrupted from your car all the way to the end of the car in front of yours' headlights.
2. Highway driving where the high beams light up the side of the road - great for spotting animals (reflective eyes)

I always wondered how they can make those operating system updates! Thanks! Question... I don't have the diagnostic tool you had in your video. I have MB II from iCarsoft... Can u use that and the vediamo app to try this? Where do you get the vediamo software from? Thanks again!

My setup came from the user here named BenzNinja.
I'm fairly happy with the system.

If an indie shop is comfortable using vediamo, I'm sure they would.

Yeah that makes sense.
I would imagine that it is against dealer policy to do it. Plus, the dealer would likely do it with online coding, which means they'd have to get permission from Mercedes anyway. So even if you found a dealer that fought they could, Germany might shut them down. I asked my dealer if they could retrofit a 360 camera system on my car. They said that Germany won't allow it. That's my next project

ITs very hard to get a good video. I ordered a new f1.4 lens for my DSLR, hopefully that helps.
In the mean time, i took some just ok cell phone vids. The problem is once it gets uploaded to YT, they compress it and you lose all the highbeam on the trees to the side on the video.... which is like 90% of the benefit we are looking for lol. Oh well, you can still see the "box" on the ground
