More like all the correct functions turned on. example, they didn't code your cluster... its incomplete. did they just turn on IHC+ on the gateway or did they code the entire headlight, stepper motors fors etc for the ILS+ fuctions?

-Sport plus mode (Agility mode) only if you don't have a separate sport button for the automatic transmission.

-Last mode. Meaning when you start the car the automatic transmission will remember in wich mode you was last time. This way you can always start in S mode for example. Only for facelift models.
-Higher V-max on locked cars (US and Japan models have always limited Vmax even Amgs) V-max = Maximum speed
-better gas pedal response by getting rid of the gas pedal delay/lag
-ILS plus unlock on US models if the right hardware already there (US models that have ILS plus capable headlights cant use them because the function is locked for the US-market
-Sound design for pops and bangs when downshifting. Only for Petrol cars and needs a non stock exhaust (straight piped,x-pipe,resonator delete or something like that) for noticeable effect. For AMG cars noticeable even with stock exhaust.
-Head unit design change from papyrus to silver design
-Enable DRL to light up with the headlights.
-Brighter DRL lights,parking lights,license plate lights ect.
-Set start stop eco to last mode. Meaning it will only activate it self after engine start if you left it on "on" the last time.
-Remaining fuel in liters or gallons
-Earlier parking sensor beeping (already at the yellow lights instead of the red lights).
-Disable seat belt warning and the message about how many seatbelts are worn in the back seats.
-One touch function for memory seats instead of keeping the button pressed

Comin from Audi world and the kind of coding etc you are exploring is something I'm very comfortable doing. If you had done this 4 years I ago,I would definitely have done this versus used Vlad's module.

i followed this guide and successfully activated ILS on my w212. It works as it should but the amber side marker LEDs are turned off now. Is it possible to enable it again while keeping ILS? They are required for state inspection where I live.
im not sure which module caused them to turn off. Is there a specific coding change that disables the side markers?

The Side Marker settings are into the HLI_212 left and Right modules in this domain:

You can load the original US Fahrzeugdatensatz LUC Schreiben values and test if the EU ILS will still be OK and if not you can manually try to find the correct Channel number for SM_b ( as well from original US values )

I actually had to replace the right headlight on my car. I replaced it with a new HELLA unit and replaced the ballast module too. When i followed this guide for activating ILS, all of the ECE ILS options were already enabled on this headlight. The last step, "VCD_Schrittmotorparameter_VLA" had different options than what the guide said to select. It says to change it to "aktorvariente hella haltestrom 1" but it is not an option for my headlight.
These are my options. I just left it on the default setting.
I noticed that ILS doesn't seem to be working on this headlight. The left headlight ILS works great. The right headlight seems to be doing its normal auto on/off high beam.
When there's an oncoming car it just turns high beam off. Same when following a car. the left headlight actually moves the high beam around vehicles. The right just turns high beam off entirely.

Quite confusing, first you asked how to enable SM as you already code the EU ILS. Now you tell something about a new headlight that's already coded as EU. If the headlight is EU model, so no SM present

Sorry it was unrelated to the side marker question.
Its a US model headlight but almost everything was coded EU already and it doesnt seem to be working with ILS. The photo i attatched is the option thats different from the guide. Should I have selected a different option?
The options can differ due to different Software versions between HLI's. I would choose an appropriate option somehow identical from left to right, if you can't install the same SW to both HLI's.
My ILS isn't working properly. It's placing the shadow about 20 feet to the right of vehicles instead of on them. It was working great for a while but now it does this.
I did my own multifunction camera calibration and nothing changed. Its still misplacing vehicles to the right. Very rarely it will correctly identify vehicles but 90% of the time it thinks they're to the right.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? I cant figure out why it's no longer working.
You did not continue troubleshooting although the information received was complete.
I originally thought it was the adjustment of my headlights causing the issue but it's not. I also thought the multifunction camera wasn't working right but I calibrated it today and it didn't help.
The real issue is that the car thinks everything is to the right of where it really is. Its causing it to shine the high beam at vehicles instead of away from them.
