High mileage m157?
Prospective buyer. Considering a cts-v2 coupe or a cls63/e63 amg. Has anyone taken these cars tuned or stock past 150k? The mod ability and parts for the CTSV is appealing, but the M157 seems like an awesome piece of machinery.
both have used engine for about 10-12k if they go. Seems like the V has more aftermarket parts, I’m also wanting to stay RWD but might not mind the AWD platform of the cls/E

The 14+ m157 still look like they could be sold new imo. Miss are generally limited to bolt ons and tunes. They share some similarities with the m113k, which there's quite a few documented over 200k and even 400k. I think mechanically the MB are very stout, but they are packed with tons of tech that might not age as well. Who knows? Having said that there are/have been quite a few for sale recently with over 100k.
To sum up, the m157 e63 is a much better car than the v2, and a better comparison would be a v3.
