TCU tune? Worth it?

TCU tune? Worth it?
Hello all,
I wanted to get your thoughts on getting a tcu tune for my 2016 E63. Is this a no brainer? Worth the money? Hold off?
I currently have a Weistec ECU tune and a BlackBoost intake. I was considering on getting the Weistec tcu tune so I am hoping for some insight. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
- BK

Cant speak to the Weistec TCU offering specifically, but the stock TCU tune prevents extracting the level performance these cars offer, The increased amount of torque available in the lower gears is quite noticeable once the TCU has been tuned to allow it.

Keep in mind that the torque limiter in the first few gears is there for a reason…. AMG claims the drivetrain will survive 5k hard launches in stock form. I’m not sure I believe that, but it only makes sense that if you start feeding more torque through the drivetrain that there will be a reduction in life.
these cars weigh 2 tons, and have enough tire under them they don’t slip the rubber, especially the S cars with the limited slip. That’s hard on the drivetrain when you start upping the power.

Maybe setup some sort of group buy for people in Cali. If you can get more then 5-6 fellow enthusiasts maybe the tuner from ny could come down . Maybe throw and extra 200 on top of the tune price with 5-6 guys that’s should pay for a round trip possibly . Just an option . I don’t see anyone being able to have access to a edok tcu tune like the tuner from ny has anytime soon tbh
