My Fidelity Platinum Warranty Has Paid For Itself Already!
Last year I purchased my '14 E63S in December 2020.
Before I left the dealer, they explained to me that the car was a former CPO and I could buy a warranty as I was doing paperwork. At first I didn't trust their warranty partners as I had been burned in the past by one with a previous car. I declined, but went home and did research on the company that was offered which was Fidelity. After doing my research for a few days, I called the dealership back and signed up for the platinum plan with a $250 deductible.
Fast forward to November 2021 I started to experience a front squeak in the front of the vehicle with any type of movement as well as the rear sunshade no longer working, I took the vehicle into MB for service. My SA confirmed that the front control arm was bent along with the sun shade being broken. The SA also informed me that the front differential was leaking as well, which brought the repair total up $6000!
I couldn't believe the cost but i'm so glad I ended up buying that warranty! If you buy an AMG make sure to get Fidelity if you cannot get MB's own warranty.

The more possitive 3rd party extended warranties experiences, the better!

Congratulations! Freedom Warranty or Fidelity Platinum are the only extended warranties I would recommend to forum members, especially over the ELW. Go to Fidelity direct next time, you'll save even more. One forum member was quoted almost $8,000 for the ELW, I got him a manufactured extension by Freedom Warranty (the Fidelity Platnium equivalent), for only $4,500, and it was a $100 deductable policy.

Correct, as long as you have a 2011 or newer, you can qualify for 7 years of complete manufactures extension extension policy through Freedom Warranty. If the vehicle is over 10 years, you can still qualify for a drivetrain warranty. Text or call me at (602) 909-9216 or email at tgibson@highline-autos.com for a quote and example contract, or any other questions.

With Freedom Warranty and Fidelity, you take the vehicle to where you are having the repair, tell them you have your warranty and to call the claims number, then the technician speaks with the claims department, and if the component is covered, they go a head and take care of it. Your repair facility should call after they have spoken with the warranty company and give you a run down. I suggest to all my customers, have the tech read over the covered components first, I had a customer be denied repair initially because the tech had done a poor job in conveying the repairs needed, it all works out though.

Thanks for the quick reply and advice! I'll send an email for a quote on 19' E63 Wagon I'm looking at. The dealer's extended warranty contract stipulated maintenance couldn't be DIY, so I'm shopping around.

Enterprise Financial group on my 2014 wagon (bought 2 years ago)
I am out of pocket a total of 1000$ but i have had:
- New steering column and assembly
- new thermostat
- new radiator rez
- front diff seals all replaced
- 8 new coil packs
- 2 fuel pumps
- 8 new injectors
i have ~ 18k in dealer "invoice" completed on this vehicle in the past 2 years. lol thank god for that warranty. Cost me 3500 (talked from 7) and is 5yr/75000 mi.
ive had after markets on all my cars, most are decent -if anything they're slow - and the best part is when you sell the car you get a refund for the remaining value.
