Haven't seen anyone talk about these even though many members are sporting their intake.
Does anyone here have any experience with these? 100 cell Cats. Will this trigger CEL? From pics, the Redstar look nicer, but they only offer a 200 cell Cat (and other options with higher cell count but "larger in diameter?"). However, what counts is which one FITS and FLOWS best. BB DP
I just ordered Blackboost catless dp's for my cls63s and received them yesterday. Haven't opened the box yet. For me it was either black boost or red star. Blackboost had the dp's in stock and since I have no patience I went with them for 1350 shipped

Nice. How to get the $2,599 BB DP for $1,350 shipped?
1991 964 Turbo, 2002 Black E55, 2002 Black E55 " The Beast"- 2014 E63s
The Red Star group buy I am arranging is at 4 members and soon ( 5 members) will qualify for 10% off. With 8 members we get 15% and with 11, 20% making it pretty much the same price for catted and shielded at $2600.
Check out my thread at W212 E63 thread or PM for more details

Yes! I am aware of said thread. Monitoring. Not quite ready to pull the trigger on a set of $3K pipes
Ultimate Pd got a sale for 750 shipped. They look good in pics but don’t know anyone that has them.
Saw those too. I know they are "just a set of pipes with bends and welds" but it makes me wonder how some can get it done THAT much cheaper. "Is more more expensive more better?"

Honestly they look like the exact same ones as these https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...068152201.html . The measurements are also the same, UPD told me they are 2.75" downpipes. So not a true 3" downpipe like these from BB, Redstar, MBH, Rado, & Switzer

If you opt for cats in your downpipes you are pretty much throwing money away. Going catless is the whole point of downpipes.
There are videos out there showing showing how cheap import downpipes are made and it makes every good welder cringe. Most of these downpipes have ZERO weld penetration and use no filler rod, and are not purge welded. That means they WILL crack sooner or later.
We try to use the least amount of welds possible. If a downpipes or exhaust is going to fail it will be at the weld joint. If you have a whole bunch of weld joints you have a whole bunch of potential failure spots. This is why we invested in two CNC mandrel tube benders, Its a vastly superior way to make an exhaust. Nothing against other sellers, but nothing coming from Russia, China or any place else can touch what we do.
