Carbon Ceramic brakes weight vs Steel brakes---- Verdict is in
Both brakes were off 2014 E63s wagons with around 45K miles.
Calipers were loaded with the brake pads and the brake line.
Steel----------------------------------- Carbon:
Front Calipers: 17.6 lbs------------ --------21.6 lbs
Front rotors: 29.8 lbs ------------------------17 lbs
Total Front : 47.4 lbs -------------------------38 lbs
Rear Calipers: 8.8 lbs------------------------ 9.3 lbs.
Rear rotors: 24.2 lbs. ------------------------13.9 lbs.
Total rear 33 lbs. ------------------------------23.2 lbs
Verdict:
Front brakes lose 10 lbs each corner
Rear brakes lose 10 lbs each corner as well
So one loses at least 40 lbs of rotational mass which sounds pretty significant considering the new ceramic rotors sizes.
Hope this helps.

Unsprung mass = rotational + Unrotational mass.
Rotational deals with the acceleration and unsprung with the handling and turning.
For car to feel and handle good, lowering the unsprung weight is the key.

All you have to do is bolt them on and paint the calipers copper to get the CCB look.

If you're from the DC area, and go to Katie's C&C a fair amount, you'll know his Jeep and Caddy. The attention to detail is amazing. The Jeep is 900+whp, all about lightweight mods inside. It's incredible sounding and awesome to hear. Insanely fast.
Most of the weight savings come from the Carbon rotors anyways and you'll get even more weight savings with factory calipers.
