M157 oil pan removal question
WIS states that you use a M6 x 60mm self tapping screw to pry/separate the two surfaces. But where the f*k do I find that? I’ve seen these for use in wood, but not with a hex head for metal/aluminum.
I used to work on tearing down transmissions and we’d usually unbolt the pan and then carefully knock apart the pan using a wood block and hammer. But that doesn’t seem to be working here as I don’t have enough room to get a good swing.
Any tips or advice from those who have first hand knowledge (I’m thinking ItalianJoe1 or konigstiger perhaps)? Thanks all
I have not done this, but i've seen similar procedures. i assume the as the screw bottoms out, it literally pushed the pan away from the block. be gentle
