18" wheels on AWD 2014 E63

looks like it's been some time since this has been asked but just wanted to see if there's any updates

from my reading it seems like 18" wheels will not fit properly on the front of an AWD E63, has anyone had success in doing so? the rears fit just fine but in the front there's huge dust covers that just scrape on the inside of the rims

as i understand mercedes made these for markets outside north america, but even if wheels of those same specs were located will those huge dust covers still create a problem? is there anything to be done about the covers themselves?

thank you in advance for any advice

Let me get this right, so you are trying to put 18" AMG wheels that happen to be 25% off on your 2014 E63s, is that correct or is that on your 2005 E55?

not those wheels necessarily, just any 18" wheel that will fit the 2014 E63S AWD model (for a better winter setup)... i was just using that as an example for "allegedly" the correct oem wheel specs, although idk if those are intended to be for RWD only models

and yes not for the E55

Not sure ...but don't modify or get rid of the splash shield. You'll be the first I've read of someone trying this ... soooooo

The shield isn't the only clearance issue. That socket OD is just under 1/2" (.47ish if I remember right) and that's a stock 10 spoke wheel.

Does anybody just run taller tires for pothole season?

I downsized to 18" AMG wheels 2 years ago. Sourced from Europe. Here is my research for pre-facelift front fitment. My post has the OEM 18" and 19" wheel measurements. The 18" wheel clears the front caliper, cover/shield, and steering link by 10-11mm on a pre-facelift W212 (the wheel flares out slightly). Hope this helps.

Fitting 18 inch wheels on a 2012 AMG Wagon?

As far as I can tell, the front 18" AMG wheel A2124014302 does not fit AWD W212/S212.
