Soon as I step on the brake to start the car I sense something.was wrong. I backed her out and then the floor was covered with fluid. I pumped it a few time and when I got out i saw fluid dripping from behind driver front wheel. No leak on the top side under the hood. Seem like a connector is there from online diagrams.
Also seem that line failure is a common issues on these cars. Is there any recall for this.
In the UK seem to have failure at the rear of the car only on left side. I will have my local shop take a look at all the lines and full flush again maybe even swap out the flex lines.

I didn't know that. A sliver surprised. I have only heard of this for much older cars (as in 15+ years) when the rubber rots, and usually only when you step on the brakes hard (max pressure). It's the actual hose that splits or the connector?

The leak is coming from the driver side door area or the drip is. I will take it apart today. I never checked that area of the line but online diagrams showing a connector at the location.Funny thing is NYC is getting warm and I was trying to get my friend to change the oil and pressure was the bottom. I do it after each winter. This winter the car was parked no salt driving.

I had the same thing happen to my 2012. The rear brake lines run right through that area where the leak is and mine we leaking in that area from rusting through. I would prepare to replace the rear lines completely as they will have multiple areas of rust. If you want to you can pull the rear of the wheel well liner and see the lines and probably find the leak there. Good luck with the repair.
Real fix coming when summer is here.This is a temporary solution.
The leak was under the line clip. The shop will replace the entire line both side for me once I order the lines. They told me they type but it was not SS some copper type.. They pulled the clips off along the line to inspect and coat with spray grease,

I guess they are waiting for the death of a customer before they say it is an issue. Mechanic said the lines all look great and was shocked. He has ML63 ML55 using both 24/7. He said he did see this on a few X5 BMWs at the clip.
I will update when the job is finished and the type of line used.
