It's not defamation if you lead with the truth. First amendment is a very powerful and still a very real thing.

sorry to hear man, so I'm understanding that they want to sell $150,000+ of defective wheels?

would an exchange be for another set of these same rims or another less or non defective model?

did the original sale fine print ever offer option for full or partial refund? What is % of partial refund

Variant: that's not how to handle the problem.
And
$150k more of defective wobbly wheels to blow out fire sale on new unsuspecting customers?
Shame. But that's ok, the free market will do it's job eventually if that's the action Variant chooses to take. Be known for wobbly wheels by selling them ALL. Good luck to you LOL.

Business has risks. Variant needs to go after their supplier, insurance, or suck it up to bad debt to make themselves whole. Not go after their customers to try and recoup lost capital from a ****up. Why did they accept $150k of bad wheels? And if Variant made the wheels themselves where is their own QC before producing 150k of scrap?

Thanks for posting this

Variant did an exceptionally poor job at "doing anything they can to make you happy" and displayed poor integrity not only in how they went back on their word, but also their willingness to sell known defective wheels to other people. Sorry the wheels didn't work out - they looked so good on your car!

This place is a joke.
You really need to put these on a balancer that reads runout and see if and how far out of tolerance they really are. I've seen plenty of factory wheels that appear to wobble yet pass runout tests on a balancer. This also removes any issue with the way they are mounted on your car such as corrosion
on the hubs, incorrect wheel bolts, incorrect tightening torque or sequence, or maybe the wheels have a problem with the hubcentric machining or diameter. Measurements don't lie.

Unbelievable!
I agree with Peter. It ain't defamation if you are not making up and spreading lies to hurt their business. The proof is in the pudding, you have it all on video and audio recordings. You should totally make this video public. Warn potential unsuspecting victims!
If I were in your shoes, I would have sent them back for full refund as soon as I mounted the first tire!
You said you don't feel vibrations when driving??

seems like he indicates they balanced ok but cosmetically have that wobble which he perfectly demonstrated in the video.

I've seen this phenomenon from time to time on wheels on other cars driving by me (with aftermarket rims) and it looks terrible .. I always assume the rims or axle had been damaged and it truly cheapens the look of the car

If the first batch is used for quality control - someone saw this defect and made an active decision to move forward and push them forward and keep the conveyor belt on, and not spend the cash for more development of the mold and manufacturing process. Human decisions. Then another dude is pushing all this inventory out there to clear his warehouse ... human decisions.

twice now the consumer is the victim, this defines a scam lol

If we were to order the same PN

Will they come clean knowing it's an issue to a potentially new customers. If not, can they knowing sell a defective product. At this time they can not claim they are unaware.
The wheels do look nice.

Go ahead and sell the rest of the wheels as B stock disclosing the issue. Just be honest about it. People will buy anything at the right price.
Just don't try to rip us off.
And give the original unhappy people their money back.
