Quote: FWIW: More Information for BREMBO 09931333 (rockauto.com)

Even with $30 shipping it is still $100 cheaper to order from Rockauto, unless you really expect to use that lifetime warranty. I am not sure I have ever used the warranty on anything across three cars in 3 years.

Tread very cautiously with Rockauto. If for any reason something goes south on their end, expect both ZERO customer support and them dragging their feet to give your money back. I'm literally dealing with an issue of their supplier just sitting on my order with no action, but because they created a shipping label they consider my order "shipped" after 3 weeks with no action.

Thanks for your reply. Would you please let me know roughly how much it weights? And the price for a set so I can check shipping cost with my poxy shipping services.

Quote: What does a 2 piece 360mm rotor weigh? Isn't that OE?
Seems like the 360 mm 2 piece rotor is about 1 lb lighter than the 390 mm 2 piece. Given that the weight is in the 15.5" radius range (rotating inertia), lighter wheels and tires are going to make a WAY bigger difference. I have been poking around and I can save 11-13 lbs EACH between tires and wheels (11-13x the difference), and that weight is in the 19-26" radius range. In other words, I think the rotors won't be noticeable. I think everyone else already concluded this but I wasn't sure before. I am now.

I also looked at FCP Euro. Mercedes did some surprisingly GM-like parts sharing for brakes (this is a good thing). For example, 360mm 1 piece were used back on the 2003 E55. They upgraded to 2 piece on the 2007 E63 I believe, which were also used on our cars. FWIW, the W212 E550 uses the 360 mm 1 piece rotors. Then the 390 mm debuted on the 2005 SL65, and was used as late as 2021 C63S, GLC63, GT, and of course E63S. That is a very long span.

2 piece by the way ARE quite a bit more expensive, but I believe at the 360mm size, save 5 lbs each (which is a big deal), AND they have better thermal properties. For actual performance, 2 piece matters.

2012 E63 Wagon.
Wheels removed, washed and waxed. Calipers refinished with high-temp catalyzed high-gloss clear. PowerStop Z26/Z23 carbon/ceramic low-dust brake pads installed. Brake system flushed w/Motul RBF 600.
Two things that I can tell immediately. 1,Greater initial bite (hot or cold) and less brake pedal effort is required overall. I'm very happy with the new setup.

If anyone wants to make their own and save themselves probably $50 or more from whatever this dude is charging.

1. Buy one of these at 1.25" (32mm):
Amazon Amazon

2. Take to any machine shop with a lathe.
3. Ask them to drill out a 12mm hole down the center
4. Optional: Turn down the stock to 30mm outer diameter (you can use as 32mm, but it leaves ~1mm space between the rotor and the spacer, while turning it down to 30mm gives 2-3mm)
5. Cut out 15mm long spacers

Final specs:
12mm ID x 30mm OD x 12mm height (thick).

Machine shop should charge you around $50. Should take them a few hours.

I'm not sure you understand how the braking (or "breaking") system works.

The bolts are the key item in keeping the caliper attached to the car, and they are what's important for strength since the load is in shear. The spacers could be 3d printed PLA if they could handle the heat and function perfectly.

But hey, marketing so you can charge people $100+ for some laser etched washers no one will ever see.
