Update . Getting extremely close . Silicone hoses came out fantastic. Took a while before we decided on how flexible we wanted them to be . Extremely durable and will do extremely well With heat. You can also see how snug and tight the incoming ambient air inlet hose is where it slides right over the intake boxes. The test car it's on has put down some insane hp numbers, over 840 rwhp!!! but it was spinning bad on the dyno . Once we sort traction we can post the log data with wgdc IAT , maf lb/min. The days of restricted intake pipes are over. We have also not had one code come on the entire time it's been installed . No map sensor code and no crank case ventilation code. So far this once one of set prototype is actually coming to fruition. Im super excited
So how does this differs from BB, did I miss the question somewhere?
At a glance, they look very similar. But, if you take a closer look, the pipe routing is completely different. This intake uses a larger diameter duct/pipe. The answer to your question has definitely been posted.
Does free flowing air intakes not cause bigger air particles (debris) making its way into the engine causing more issues? When is enough is enough--air intake?

Tons of people drive their turbo charged vehicles without filters. Just a wire mesh over the turbo inlet. A Subaru tuner, back in the days, once said to me "If you don't drive on dirt roads... it's totally fine"

i don't think he bothered to even go back and see the entire intake and not just a couple finished parts of a multi piece intake setup. Then he would see it actually has filters

I did unless you have another set of filters besides the cone filters that I might have missed.
I am not here to question your intelligence, I just wanted to know for my own sake if there's a limit to as to how much air can be safely flown in without causing any damage to the internals.

ahhh copy . Srry I assumed that was your intention. Filters are a standard high quality paper filter from
afe and companies alike . We haven't seen anything that indicates particles are entering in the engine anymore then any other companies filter . They meet the standards of today's filtration . The important part of this kit is not the fikter. Filter size does not add power . It's the pipe size, the removal of the stock inlet pipe which removed all the restrictions and multiple pressure drops. Freeing up a huge amount of air flow from the moment there is any load on the engine. The size of the pipe using a volute style taper being the biggest intake ever successfully fitted on the m157 from 4-3 " with only 1.5 bends from a system that once had 5 bends and multiple pancaked restricted areas. Also dramatically opening up the amount of incoming ambient air by reversing the intake design and having a an over sized pipe
you can . The cls that I've posted has them. Along with some other cars . The final version looks the same except the silicone hoses and aluminum joiner.
I've been following along even before I started posting here on the forum. Thanks for keeping this platform alive with new R&D @Cifdig ! Between this and the Oil pump solenoid mod, I think this platform is in for a mini-renaissance.
Are these going to be retail or like a group buy? Any idea on cost at this point vs Blackboost?

this intake offers more pieces. Much more actually . So it's hard to keep prices matched to a product that comes with 4-5 pieces . These new intakes come with 4 6ply heat resistant hoses, 2 aluminum joiners that have the map and pcv ports. 2 90 degrees aluminum barbed fittings for the pcv, 2 composite carbon boxes, 2 filter, 2 map sensor wire extension, etc. but I can promise you it's gonna be priced very well considering tge quality and performance.
This is amazing work. Definitely following you to see the growth.
thank you!. Yes I'm am thrilled about these as well . These were designed from the turbo up and not from the intake boxes down. These intakes were designed to have minimal bends allowing maximum flow, with no pressure drop. We do have some secret addition to these intakes that will not be released, but I'm confident once these hit the market, they will be the go to intake for absolutely power and temps. I'm sure the few that may be non believers and can't see these intakes are like none other, even tho it's clear in the design they will out flow the stock intakes by a long shot, will want to put them to the test. Along with many others. And the results will speak for themselves. I definitely advise these NOT to go on if the engine is not atleast tuned, where more fuel is thrown into the mix, because these flow so much STFT will need time to adjust. And getting a custom tune if possible will yield even more results. The stock intake pipes are restricting the the compressor side of the turbo, coupled with a restricted boxes, coupled with a small hose for ambient air flow . These intakes yield massive amounts of incoming ambient air, So much so from the over sized hose design, that it's damn near Ram air. Some pictures of the silicone hose quality and ply
