New high flow intake design.

After a year plus, spending time in between my E63R build and among designing a bunch of other goodies since our platform has always been forgotten. I managed to finally finish what I feel is the answer to a high restricted turbo. The inlet design is completely the opposite of what a turbo needs to breath well and be as efficient as it can be. With multiple bends , pancaked areas and a very small diameter I knew there was more power potential if I can just figure out how to eliminate them . And I have successfully! I also improved map sensor signal eliminates the light illuminating and I've also increased pcv efficiency and flow by utilizing the highest area in the volute style intake where it transitions from 4.25 to 3" where it's creating a high vacuum signal and literally sucks the pressure right out of the block also eliminating a code some may see that will read crank case ventilation not operating at WOT. The final intake will be using 5 ply silicone for the air inlet pipe and a 5-6ply hard silicone for the air intake pipe. So excited I can't wait to put them on.

Instead of making intakes from the top down . I design these intakes from the bottom up.

thank you for the support! You rock! But I wanted to make this post to show the design and how they look. I don't want to use it for attention of sales . Just to post threads like I normally do showing new things I've come up with . Lol I don't want the thread to get locked.

yes, but honestly my opinion it looks better without. Especially when the colored silicone hoses are installed. And I realized how some areas of the engine were much hotter, because the radiant heat had no where to escape staying trapped under the engine cover making the ecu and center intercooler surfaces and metal fuel rails even hotter. That when removed surface temps dropped. So just for car shows if someone wants to install they have the option But some should really consider leaving the engine cover off and in the trunk especially if tuned . Anyone can purchase a decent inferred heat gun, drive around for a while and quickly remove the engine cover and check the top of the intake surface, fuel rails and any other parts hidden under the shield . Then repeat the same process with engine cover off and in the trunk. I promise most will not put it back on unless for a car meet or car show if they really like it

A different view for how these are designed. I can tell you one thing . Achieving patents turned out to be a lot harder then I assumed it would be.

I worked at Ford and a Mercedes Benz and with that, even working at a big company, successfully patenting some thing is an arduous task which I had to endure.

Just researching and comparing “prior art” to your invention is a huge deal (and one of the pillars of patent law, along with the “claims” related to the invention)

At least you did it
I was in my bosses office one day, saw a plaque on his wall with his and a few other higher-ups names on it reconized by the (large) company for a patent on a part...
... that I designed and made the tooling for just as part of my day to day job based off requirements a big 3 mfg gave us like they always do.
I quit that week.

Thanks for the memory lane!
LOL

These are looking like exactly what I've envisioned in my head that I would like for my E63. Are you planning to make these available for purchase? Awesome work !

About a months before we receive silicone hoses then we need some time to make sure they are up to standard
