Determine tune status

Is there an easy way to determine if My car has a tune of any sort? The car pops and cackles when decelerating more than I expect from stock so it has Me wondering. My exhaust may be modded but comparing it to online parts diagrams doesn't reveal much. I need to find a pic of stock wagon exhaust somewhere to compare.

Ok Thanks for the link. I appears I have 2 extra "cans" welded in just before the center resonator. They are about 8 in. long and probably 1/2" larger diameter than the front pipes. They maybe amplify any deceleration noise ?

For some reason some manufacturers installed catalytic converters post-oxygen sensors (ie Speed Driven) in their aftermarket downpipes. Those are probably cats.

built in to the tune... popping is just fuel in the cats/exhaust detonating

make nice with a tuner and have them read your ecu file ... they can pull it from obd port and compare it to a stock tune

So the popping isn't a stock thing then. Interesting.

not as you describe. The car does a type of "burping" with shifts and some downshifts but not the crackle pops like this:

you can't read flash file by OBD from our ecu med17.7, only read on bench.

My car sounds like the first clip. The title on the clip says stock exhaust. Is the W213 exhaust different than 2014? If it turns out My car is tuned , that's not good.

W213 is a different car vs the W212.

What's this about then? Thanks in advance for your insight

  1. Select the “Download from MyGenius” button. You’ll need to click through the items and select where to save the “MYGFile.fpf” (only 7kb) on your computer. I think this ties the programmer to your car’s VIN.
  2. You can close out the MyGenius program.
  3. Email your “MYGfile.fpf” file to sales@eurocharged.com for them to get your custom tune made. In your email, they’ll want your paid tune invoice bill, fuel type you use, any car mods you have, and any special requests. My car is bone stock and runs on 91/93 octane fuel.

that is the id file 7kb as you mentioned, it includes vin, hw, sw numbers, ecu type, only, the flash file is 4mb.
