Okay, I did this Sat night...immediately noticed the car shifts at far earlier points (more like a non-AMG car in "Sport" mode) when in C (eco off, eco is always off).

While I do not have Xentry (yet)....I for one did notice a change.

yes +1: it is really effective.
Given enough engine improvements have taken place after oil pressure MOD, the actual shift points need to be relearned with this simple reset procedure.

Xentry is used for demonstration but is not needed for Key On - Key Off.

Some ppl say this can be done without removing the keyless push button... ignition On... Off.

This reset works on many if not ALL Bosch ECU including Acura.

How many miles after unplugging shall we reset it? Asking because I could had sworn I saw someone on the oil pump solenoid thread mentioned to not reset the adaptation after unplugging the mod but I have terrible memory so there is that. Sorry if that is the case.

You're right, I did say that and you can quote me. I said I like to retain historical data and dislikes resets.
Why that is some ppl think resets can replace repairs and troubleshooting.

Resets and chassis reboots have a place to help computers perform well.

On MOD-2.1 when the engine improve enough the tranny may endup confused as follow:

MOD-1 tranny was able to match

Mod-2 tranny shifts got at bit confused

Mod-2.1 with a heavy shot of 500ml tranny shift points were not coping well with low blow-by MAP pressure... so I thought I'd give that tranny relearn a shot. It helped tranny work with ECU.

As noted its not a straight reset but more like unlocking the relearn procedure.

At what mileage: when necessary based on MOD viscosity level and improvements or 4kMi when you notice ECU/TCU needs a little help figuring shifts RPM.

What I clearly saw is the step between MOD-2.0 and 2.1. Run a good 5w40 for 5kMi then boost its viscosity to get better ring seals and spray cool at lower RPM.

Sorry about that, just to clarify, I have nothing to quote as I don't remember who said it or if someone actually did say it, I just thought I remembered, that's all : )

like I said I am still trying to catch up on the oil pump solenoid thread half way to the latest post : )
