CPS Extension Harness, feedback

They are not cure all, only sacrificial throw away when oil has breached the burnt plastic sensors.
The description of this item is jacked up !!
.... adjuster magnet...
It talks about "3 wire magnet"
-- Cam CPS are 3 wires
-- VVT magnetic/solenoids are 2 wires
> It may well be that...
-- this particular product was a factory reject or
-- the CPS was already over cooked beyond its prime or
-- the upstream Lambda already got swamped to cause lean misfires or
-- the ECU saw these circuits disconnected during installation - Need simple fault reset!
Connecting a scanner always reveals nteresting modules status conditions.

I’d assume if there are any troubles such as circuit related or not communicating with each other in terms of the cps and extension isn’t “synced” so to speak. There would be CEL or noticeble issue, correct?

- car is running fine, now slap on these extensions for oil creep protection
- start said car up
- car "idols" erratically
- shut said car off and slap scanner on it
- all the codes will lead to the issue and then of course you'll know the last thing you did before it went from running normal just a few minutes ago to not running normal
- also did he clean the oil from the sensors - before adding the pigtails - when we remove the plug we "break the seal" so to speak, did he hit it with CRC?
- I have eBay ones on and they're arguably the same Chinese knock offs as Amazon and all is good.
- oh, and on I always get a kick out of "even passengers noticed it" - as if the reviewer needs more credibility by more people that have no credibility 😂
- "hugely expensive engine" - I think we know the mechanical capabilities right here of this reviewer
- "these should be removed from the market immediately" - now Nick has a messiah complex and wants to rid the world of the risk this poses to all owners - he's assumed a higher role in life and seems to care about people beyond himself. He's a saint 😝

I think the best bet is to deal with all 8x for peace of mind: 4x 2-wires + 4x 3-wires.
And because these extensions FIX NOTHING... look at each connector for existing failure.
Then replace at your convenience... this is where I'm at!
I have installed pigtail/extension while doing spark plugs and witnessed my CPS were already cooked at 50kMi.
Now I am going back in with new CPS + pigtails and if everything was breached then I look into sourcing Lambda extensions more closely.
> The only thing that has me excited here is not knowing...
-- Will normal engine heat without "extreme heatsoaks" prevent cooking my new set of CPS??
- I believe near 95% yes but harness protection is still best practice.
