Infotainment/COMMAND System Issue

Infotainment/COMMAND System Issue
Hello World,
New to the forum. I just recently purchased a '14 E63s Wagon and I am trying to troubleshoot an issue. Love the car, but something seems screwy with the infotainment/COMMAND screen/system.
I first discovered the problem where I was listening to music and the screen froze and went black and then restarted. Upon restart, the screen stopped on "WARNING: do not let command distract you"
I tried to reset by holding the power button for 15 seconds and the mercedes logo will appear and do the run through, but still get stuck on the WARNING message. The radio plays, but i am unable to change anything.
I installed a new main battery in the car thinking that it would solve the issue (from what i read) but it seems it doesn't change anything.
The only thing that seemed to work is turning the car off and locking it for an extended period of time (~1 hour) which i think fully resets it.
I have also pulled the fuses and everything looks fine.
Sometimes i don't have issues with it and it works right...but i noticed it sometimes freezes when coming to low speeds and shifting the car into reverse to park it. the screen will just go black and the parking cameras do not appear.
Could it be the cold temperatures here in NY?
Does the system need to be updated?
Could it be the auxillary battery in the rear that needs replacing?

Get a Mercedes-specific scanner and scan the COMAND module. (Only one "M")

No, i haven't brought it to them yet. I plan on bringing it in a week or two.
Have you had experience having them update it? Do you know if there was a larger update in years following production?
Does the interface change?
I read somewhere that the 16s had an update UI.

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ECU dyno tune; EDOK TCU tune; BB intakes; sprintbooster
I think I had a Bluetooth issue and they did some software update back in 2015 and that helped it, no updates since then and you very well May have a hardware issue such as the whole head unit may need to be replaced or there is a wire harness issue

I’m having the same issue…stuck on warning screen…times out and recycles over and over again. Changed main battery too just like you did.
