At cold start there is a intermittent hissing/scratching noise but goes away when the car is warm. If you can cancel out the injector noise you can hear it. 68k miles on the car, original belt and pulleys. I thought about the going the upd billet route since I used that kit in my old m156 c63, but I don't think its worth it IMO.
IIRC, in the m156 I was able to pull off the belt and start the car to diagnose if in fact the pulleys were causing noise. Can the m157 be started with the belt off for short period of time to diagnose as well? I think I also had to remove the fan on the m156. Anyone know what needs to come out to access all the pulleys?
