Limp mode with code P1CCA11
Hello everyone, I recently got a 2012 E63 AMG wagon. The car has been going into limp mode every so often with the code
P1CCA11
The quantity control valve (cylinder bank
2) has a short circuit to ground. There is a short circuit to ground
let me know if you could help

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ECU dyno tune; EDOK TCU tune; BB intakes; sprintbooster
Check all ground points on the car first ... corrosion etc, oil in engine wire harness, so many things to look at here but this is a start

Can we guess this car was sold after countless repair attempts?
Meaning it has a new HPFP and the ECU harness has been somewhat tested already.
Can we say it runs well and fails once a while or fails like clock work.
ECU reporting a GND short means it's loosing its plus side feed. You want to confirm that is happening or not.
There's a limited chance a new pump (MB/Bosch) will be electrically defective. It can be mechanically damaged during install.
Inspect the M/F pump connections.

So far connectors have been limited to male or female for the most part.
The ECU is reporting Pump electric troubles, lets not say shortcircuit: it's misleading here.
Based on your report, I cant believe its just a failed pump...
